Hello and Welcome! Come on over and take a seat. It is a little cool and damp, but still very much Spring! Hold on and I’ll get you a mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, some cocoa or other beverage. Better? We can sit here, smell the salt breeze and enjoy the green. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize that photo as being from Cape Cod.
So, the last time I was here I took a bunch of new Coffee Share photos for the Cape. I thought a couple were great and planned on using them. Of course they are up on my computer in New Hampshire, not doing anyone a bit of good.
And staying on the theme, I drove down here last night. This is a strange one because it is just me and Alexander, aka Super Scamp. Alexander actually traveled well and made the transition without a problem. He has been close to me more than usual, bu has also explored on his own. I think he loves having a new large house to explore! And being only 4-legged mammal is also great as he doesn’t have to worry watch his step.
This was a pretty busy week at work. not insane, but constant. It was also a busy week out of work. I had massage on Wednesday and a haircut on Thursday. i did take a few before and after photos on my phone, but haven’t looked at them yet.
This week was unusually warm (for this time of year – 86 F/30C) up in New Hampshire and will be down-right hot (92F/33C) in the next few days. It has been a lot cooler on Cape Cod (like a 20 degrees F/10 degree C difference!), so I will have to get used to the cooler weather while I am here. Not a problem :)
Besides that, I did the usual walks, dog walks, dog play, kitty play, exercise, running, reading, writing, mowing, etc. Oh, and last week I talked about a music project. I finished it up over the weekend and did a post on it here. I’ll stick the video at the bottom of the page if you are curious, but not curious enough to actually read about it ;)
That is mostly it. As i said, I just arrived here and have a lot to do, plus a lot of playing to do ;) And cat watching.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having a great weekend. If you have a coffee share post, I will try to visit, but no promises.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!
Oh – a few weeks ago I decided to use my page’s “badge” for the InLinkz linkup page so it is the same every week despite the kaleidoscope of photos I use for the share itself. Hope this makes it easier for you :)

Thank you for the coffee and share!! A massage sounds wonderful, I’ve never gone to get one and I did a lot this weekend so I could use one. And a haircut too!! I see a smile post coming! Love your music and super scampi sounds adorable following you around and wandering around! I hope you have a good week ahead! 😀

Hopefully you wont have to clean up too much after your fun companion, Super scamp. I could actually picture him sitting on the front of your kayak with a little kitty life jacket. Have a wonderful week.

Super Scamp has been great and has followed me around the entire weekend. I used to bring my dogs kayaking, though I think they were scared half to death quite often. A cat? Uhm, no! lol

I thoroughly enjoyed your Dido’s Lament. I auditioned with this song for the conservatoire.
Hope you had a lovely weekend.

Thanks, Charlotte. I didn’t know you auditioned with this. It is a great song! And I hope my arrangement didn’t mangle it too much… the weekend was very nice . I hope you had a good weekend as well and have a wonderful week.

I had a lower register when I started and had a more mezzo soprano repertoire.

That’s interesting – I usually think of people’s voices growing lower as they mature. Was it because of the training.
I should have transposed this down a step or two (or a fourth…) because the G is just slightly out of my (very untrained!) range. Funny, as I played videos on Youtube, most of them were in F minor instead of G! (The recording I started with was in G, as were all three versions of the sheet music I referenced.)
