Hello and Welcome! Sit down and I’ll get you a nice, strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is a little on the cool side and damp after a night of rain, but feels comfortable. After the heatwave we had, anything would be! 5 days of 90 – 98 F (33 – 37 C) was pretty bad, particularly since it was very humid a few of those days. We then had a warm Thursday (not hot) followed by an almost cold Friday! The next few days will be closer to normal. Oh, where are we? Some may recognize the photo at the top as being from new Hampshire.
The big news this week was the weather. It was pretty oppressive! But not totally terrible. I did get out for some shorter walks, though the dogs chose not to most of the time. I didn’t run,but did strength executrices (I ran last Saturday before it was too uncomfortable and then on Friday). I did some yard work over the weekend and had someone come in and do some yard work that is beyond me over the week. And I tried to stay cool :)
Work was busy, as always, but not bad.
Our Lions Club met at a local restaurant for our first face to face meeting in over a year. It was very nice! I had massage. I had to buy a new refrigerator, though it won’t be here for a while. (Our old one was 23 years old).

I played music, though kept the electronics off most of the week (my office/studio is by far the hottest room in the house) and so played piano. I did a little writing and some drawing. I also did a lot of reading… I did not even look at the blog (or anyone else’s) Thursday or Friday.
That is about it. Not a bad week, over all. I hope yours was good as well :)
Thanks for stopping by! I have to get out and do a few things. I hope you are having a great weekend. If you have a coffee share post, I will try to visit, but no promises.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!
Oh – a few weeks ago I decided to use my page’s “badge” for the InLinkz linkup page so it is the same every week despite the kaleidoscope of photos I use for the share itself. Hope this makes it easier for you :)
Gosh hot weather is so draining. We get our fair share in Summer in Australia and now, live in air conditioning because of the extremes of temperature. You did well to have your fridge last that long ! Denyse #weekendcoffeeshare

Hot weather is draining. I like living in a place where we might experience it, but it is not a constant! I lived in Texas for a while and grew very tired of air conditioning.
Have a great week!

🥵 we are finally having a normal June (90-95) but today got to 98 with feels like 108. muggy yucky.

Yuck, a bit hot and muggy for me! Yesterday was warmish, but we will be in the 70s the rest of this week – perfection (to me).

Wow, 37C! I had no idea it could be so warm in your area. I’ve experienced such temperatures in Italy and everything above 35 degrees can be exhausting especially if the air is very humid (which it always is in the summer there).
I’ve had a busy week but the weekend has been very nice and relaxing. We’ve had some fantastic weather with lovely sunshine and 22-ish degrees. We’ve done lots of work in the garden and had some nice dinners outside too.
I hope you’ll have a pleasant week!

New Hampshire has extremes in temperature – we go from very cold (it gets into the -20s C at least once a year) and then hot summers (it gets above 35 a few times a year, but almost never 40!). 22-is seems perfect. Actually, although I do like some extremes and love the 4 full seasons, I think Ireland has a great climate. Sweden might be a little dark and cold in the winter for me, but…
I was in Italy and Sicily in early September and was almost surprised how hot it was. It is funny, because Rome is almost exactly the same latitude as New York City, but so, so much warmer.
Hope you have a great week!

glad you were able to
meet face to face with your group
and wow – 23 years for a fridge – reminds me that some appliances sure used to last!
so many appliances today are made to faill or made to have a
shirt life span!

It was great to return to almost normal! I seem to do a good job keeping appliances running fro a long time, but I do know that planned obsolescence is a real thing – if I buy one car, one refrigerator, one washer/dry set, etc in my life, how many people do I put out of work?

good point about providing work – but not sure i still like the planned to have a short life products

I’m with you – I often spend more up front for that longer lasting. I wish I could come up with a good economic model to put long-lasting/less-waste at the top of the list and still make it work for the other side – the creation, production, investment etc. side…

yes – same here – was it tough to decide which fridge to buy ?

Actually, it was easy since they were so limited in what is immediately available in the size and price range we were looking for.

That’s a lot of years with that fridge! I hope you will enjoy a nice new one. I’m glad your weather has cooled off a bit for you there. We are heading into a heat wave this next week getting over 100 degrees this next week! YIKES! Hopefully there will be a breeze and there isn’t humidity, definitely a dry heat! Lol – enjoy your weekend! 😀

We do have a few old appliances around, I just hope they don’t all go at once ;) I’m very happy our heat wave is gone – hope you do OK with your coming 100+ weather! Have a wonderful week :)

I think I’ve seen those flowers a million times, but for some reason they seemed more special than usual and so I had to take a photo. It is cool to see life returning to normal and nice to get out meet with people face to face.

Having a great weekend :) Of course that means I have been away from my blog since I posted and will most likely be away the rest of the day today, but then, that’s what it is all about :) Hope your weekend is going well.

Whats the opposite of heatwave.. cause thats we had a couple of days back, temperatures averaged 10-15 degrees celsius which is rather low for these parts.. It was warm and sunny today which was a delightful change and sitting in the park as I scroll through weekend coffeeshare
