If We Were Having Coffee on the 17th of July, 2021 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on over and I’ll get you a large mug of a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is a little humid and hazy out here today, but not too hot, so the breeze feels comfortable. Where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo (though new) of being from Cape Cod.

I came down here on Wednesday evening with Alexander. He has been so cute! He cuddles up with me every night, and stays pretty close during the day. I took him for a walk yesterday, and he loved to explore.

I did a little mowing on Thursday, but from the photo above I am sure you can tell that I need to do more ;) I really haven’t been able to do a whole lot else, but I did get a long kayak paddle in this morning, even if it was a bit foggy.

In the early part of the week I played and walked with dogs, I was only able to run once (it was hot and humid!), but have gotten some strength exercise in. I had massage. Our Lions Club had a barbecue/meeting on Tuesday. And I worked.

That’s mostly it. I do hope to get a lot done today, but we will see what the day brings. I’ve entered a new part of my appliance saga and hopefully will get some clarification today. And there is that mowing. I need to do a lot of clearing and organizing. And hopefully I’ll be able to get out and enjoy myself!

Thanks for stopping by! I need to get up and start doign stuff. I hope you are having a great weekend. If you have a coffee share post, I will try to visit, but no promises.

Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!

Yes, it’s a Beatles mug. Up until about two years ago I used this mug all of the time, and I have used it a couple of times this summer, but in the sand instead of on a dock.
Alexander is a great cat :)
Hope you have a good week.

The kitten is so cute! He looks like my Hershey but sounds a lot more friendly. Have a great week.

He is a cutie :) This is the first cat that we’ve had that we’ve been able to take outside like this. The others were never able to get used to a color or harness.

Life seem pretty good :) Alexander is very cute! I did notice that you have a new photo at the top :) Do you enjoy doing little things around the house, mowing the lawn etc? I think it can be very meaningful and rewarding. I hope this weekend is everything you need. Thank you for the coffee!

Life is pretty good, and Alexander is very cute :) I sometimes enjoy puttering around the house and doing little odd jobs. Sometimes it can be a pain, but other time it is relaxing.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I have seen people walk cats almost like dogs, but all I do with Alexander is let him explore. I gently turn him if I don’t like where he is headed, and scoop him up if that doesn’t work ;) He is very cute :)

We did get a harness, but so far I have not been able to get it on right… Not sure what I am doing wrong. The collar does work, but I have to stay with him to make sure he doesn’t back out of it. He doesn’t try often, but just in case..

oh good.. too funny.. there’s a brand that my daughter has which is impossible to get out of and i have one that’s pretty good… although I’m trying out a carseat for the car and the rascal escaped out of the harness. Enjoy and have fun💖

We got a soft-sided pet-taxi that works well for the car – he has been on the three hour drive each way between New Hampshire and Cape Cod several times. I will have to try the harness again…

Those work well.. for sure and great you have a good traveler. I have a plastic one and it works..My daughter brings hers in this soft car seat so I’m going to test it out. I do 3 hours too and it’s ok but thought I’d give this a whirl.
            We shall see💖

I love the Beatles mug and instantly remembered that’s from the Cape!! My kids got leashes for the Kitty’s but I don’t think they’ve tried walking them and I know you need to practice and it helps when you start when they are young. That’s so COOL!! Alexander is a cutie!! The foggy mornings sound nice even tho it can be hard to see, something intriguing about fog. Enjoyed having coffee with you today!! 🤩 Have a great weekend too!! 💚😎

Back when I was in the other house on the Cape I used my Beatles mugs all of the time, so it is good to have at least one back out again. Alexander is the first cat we’ve had that we have been able to “walk”. Walking is pretty much just letting him explore and holding onto the leash so he doesn’t get into trouble.

Thanks for stopping in! Hope your weekend is goign well :)
