I’ll admit, this was a mixed bag of a week. Of course, since it was a “mixed bag”, that means there were good things, right? In fact, a few of the up spots were very up :)
Last month I posted about our first face-to-face Lions Club meeting in over a year. Well, we had another, our yearly July cookout at one of the member’s house. It was nice to see everyone.
I also went down to Cape Cod over the weekend. Perhaps it being another bonding trip with Alexander was a high spot…

I didn’t do a lot down there and there issues, but I had a great paddle on Saturday morning. I didn’t go far away in a straight line, but I explored all of the local coves and so was actually paddled quite a distance. It was foggy, but fine. I saw a seal, baby osprey, etc. I also swam in the ocean on Saturday, and that was nice.
Those were my smiles for the week, a Lions Club cookout, having several days on the Cape with Alexander and doing a great paddle and nice Swim on Saturday.
What made you smile?
****
Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week. Why don’t you share it? I hope you can join in!
Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas. If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity. Don’t smile about the misfortune of others. Don’t smile in a way to excludes others. Make sure a 12 year old can read it.
To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile. Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment :) ). You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me). Next week I will compile all of the Smiles and do a separate post of them on Monday morning just before the smile. (I will shoot for around 7 AM EST).

I love Alexander, such a sweet kitty! And a great smile post being able to get away to the Cape and all. I finally put together a post and hooked it into another tree square post – a two-fer as they say? Haha, I have been so darn busy that this will have to do this week. I absolutely love trees, they make me smile so here it is! Thank you for putting together these smile posts, so much FUN!

sorry about the ups and downs… seeing a baby osprey must have helped life the mood for a moment I hope!

Thanks. The osprey are almost adult size, but haven’t fledged yet and are noisy whenever an adult flies over… It did help :)

It sounds like you had a good week overall, Trent. Last week was a lousy one, but I did get my Christmas cakes iced with homemade almond paste.

Sorry you had a lousy week. There were some pretty bad parts to mine, though everyone is healthy and whole, so no complaining. Christmas cakes sound good :) Hope you have a better week coming up!
