Hello and Welcome! Come on over and I’ll get a nice mug of super strong dark roast or a.. hmm, maybe something cool! It is now afternoon and is hot and muggy. It has been a warm week and hot the last few days, but super humid all week. Out here in the backyard it is a little cooler and there is a breeze, but it is still a bit steamy. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize that photo at the top as being on Cape Cod.
So I had a nephew and a niece down all week. I did some stuff with them, but they had surfing lessons and I worked most of the week. I had some time off, though. Work was tough…
This week I walked in the woods, walked at my favorite beach, walked around the neighborhood, walked the dogs (and cat!), walked with nephew and niece, and just walked. I swam int he ocean a few times, went kayaking at my pace, kayaked at a stand up paddle boarders pace (about 1/10 my normal speed ;) ) and hung out at a beach. I saw seals, osprey and other wildlife. Watched nephew fish off of the landing. Did work around the house. Had good food, but a lot of junk food…
It was a good week. The kids’ parents will be down any minute now, and will spend a day or two. I will be heading back to New Hampshire tomorrow bright and early, but my wife will be here with them (her brother).
Anyway, I only had time for a super short break. i have to get ready for more company. I don’t know if I will be able to make many of your coffee shares (sorry) and I have pretty much been out of blogging the last two weeks, but.. hey, it’s summer and I have company ;)
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you had a good visit. have a great week!
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkzlinkup to see all of the other shares!
Have a wonderful time with family… just having family is an awesome gift. It’s HOT and MUGGY here, too. Mostly we’re now isolating for the Delta variant. I started OT survey this week.

It was nice having the kids for a week. Having family is a gift, even when it is the in-laws ;) Hope you get some cooler weather and have a great week.

summer and family should change our routines – that’s what they’re for sometimes.

Yes, we always need to make room for what is important, and family is at the top of the list. Blogging should always be optional and family/friends/ live should always have priority.

The real living has been winning out lately, and I agree, the best choice.
Thanks, you too, enjoy the rest of the summer.

I do have to constantly be doing something… And a lot is fun :) Hope you had a good weekend.

Thanks. I don’t have to be constantly doing something. I am quite content to just lie around in cool temperatures, plenty of shade and the sound of water moving ocean especially.

I don’t have to do anything existing, but I have to move. I start to feel awful after a half hour of not moving. If I don’t exercise, my blood pressure gets dangerously high after about a week. My mind is much, much clearer when I am walking than when I am sitting.

I don’t have the physical strength and the pain is too much. I am finding it harder and harder to walk without terrible pain. Perhaps if I had been into physical things when I was younger I wouldn’t be quite as bad as I am. but chronic pain started as a child for me and just keeps getting worse. Physical therapy for my ankle is killing me right now.

I know I am very lucky, and am very thankful, to be so healthy and to be able to do what I do. That being said, I hope that doing what I do helps keep me healthy as my 50s turn into my 60s…

With a place on Cape Cod I think having company all summer is going to be the norm. :)

It seems like we didn’t have as much company at he other place we owned before we bought this one, but I think there were quite a few, though mostly “girls weekend away” type things without me ;) yeah, we will have a lot of visitors…

Sounds like a fab week, Trent!
I love “Havign “..
It’s perfect. Say it and it sounds like heaven. That is your week!

Thanks for “joinign” me for coffee ;) Yeah, stupid typos… but you are right, there is a good ring to “havign” when said out loud.
It was a great week and weekend. I hope yours was as well :)

Pretty good over here.
Having browser issues. I’m trying Safari now. Firefox is on crutches.
