If We Were Having Coffee on the 6th of November, 2021 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on over and I’ll get you a large mug of steaming, super strong dark roast, a piping cuppa tea or a thick hot cocoa. Notice that all of the beverages are warm? That is because it is cold! Actually, it is now above freezing, the sun is shining and there is no breeze, so it feels great out here. As long as you have that hot beverage, at least ;) Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo as being from New Hampshire.

This was an odd week. On the plus side, it was (for the most part) dry, which was great after such a wet October. I did try to spend a lot of time outside, from walking dogs (and cat) to running. Work was busy, but not as bad as it has been recently. I had a lot going on in other areas from Lions Club to massage to a doctor’s appointment. Sunday was my birthday :)

I have not been writing nor editing for a while and don’t see myself getting back into the swing of it for a while. I have, though, been getting back into blogging, at least the posting part. I have not been reading even a quarter as much as I was before my super-slow-down, so sorry if you haven’t seen me stop by. I have been concentrating on music more than I have been for a while. I am not practicing even a tenth as much as I was back 15 years ago when I was doing a lot of classical composition, but I have been making the most of my practice time. One thing, I redid my last music project, which is good – when I post something that isn’t quite good enough, I always say, “I’ll redo it soon” but never do. This time I did, even if there are still some rough patches. I’ll post the video at the end of the post.

Besides that, it was more of the regular – walking, walking dogs, exercise, takign care of cats, work, talking to friends and family, etc.

And I have a million and one things planned for today – I hope to get at least a few done! But with how beautiful it is outside? Maybe not…

Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I’ll try to stop by.

Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

Good for you on sticking to doing what you said you would (with success, to boot). I’m not sad about the cooler temps. I love needing a thick sweater to walk outside. Of course, I might be complaining that it is TOO cold soon enough!

Thanks, Dale. I do need to keep trying to push through that impatience of mine… I do like the cooler temps – I am much more a cold weather person than a hot weather person! However, when got down to my place on Cape Cod last night and it was 48 F (9 C) -inside- of the house, it was a bit cool for me! (I took some time off work today to fix the heater).

The weather hasn’t changed too much here in the Florida Pandhandle, which my kids are upset about being that we recently moved here from Texas and there they are having some pretty cold days. My kids say they’ll miss the snow. Maybe naive of me, but you’re the second person that has mentioned walking a cat and until just the past couple of weeks, I didn’t know people did that. I didn’t know cats enjoyed going on walks, although why wouldn’t they? 😅 It’s neat that you’re working on your music though, it seems you enjoy that. Taking a break from the regular to try something new is always fun and a stress relief, for me at least. I hope you have a great week. 🙂 Also Happy Belated Birthday. 🎉 🥳 🎈 🎂 🎁

I do enjoy all 4 seasons, even if I sometimes grumble ;) I know people who really walk their cats. I just take mine out on a leash and let him roam (hunt!). Being on the leash I can keep him where I want him top go and make sure he doesn’t hurt any critters he catches (he gets them, even with me holding the leash…). I need a “cat-io” so he can get outside time without dragging me along. And our kitten now wants to go out as well… Have a great week :)

How is your cat doing? It is cooler here been around 48 – 50 in the mornings which I hate but it does warm up in the afternoon.

I like when we have 40 to 50 in the afternoon ;) Seriously, we did have a few days like that, which are fine when sunny, but I don’t like those 24 degree mornings!

Tiberius is doing much better, thanks. He is acting like a kitten, getting into all sorts of mischief as only a healthy kitten can… He is still on a couple of meds, but those will soon be done.

Isn’t it great to have a day or two of dry, beautiful weather after so much rain and dreariness? We’ve actually had a couple of days where it has been wet and gloomy half the day then clears beautifully for a few hours. I think the wintery weather makes me appreciate the dry, mild days so much more!

For the most part I am aging well, but one thing: the older i get, the more the rain effects my mood! Uhg. After that week of rain, the dry weather is great. Today is even nicer than yesterday, which was beautiful. A few hours in the evening is good, as long as I am able to get out and enjoy it.

I hope you are having a good weekend :)

El gato pequeño is doing well, thanks. We had him on 4 different meds! He is down to ear drops and we just finished the antibiotics. He is playing like a little kitten should and is into mischief like a kitten should ;) Still not 100%, but much better! I hope you are having a great weekend!

Thanks, Colleen. Blogging should get better in the winter, though usually it is late September into October where I have my most posts and most views, so this is an odd year… Hope your weekend is going well.
