If We Were Havign Coffee on the 13th of November, 2021 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on over, sit over there and I’ll get you a nice strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is a little cool, but the sun feels great and there is no wind. Yesterday was a bit on the ugly side and a storm passed through, but other than that, it has been a gorgeous week. Sorry I am a little behind, but I just returned from a long paddle on the kayak. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as begin from Cape Cod.

I drove down from new Hampshire on Sunday evening and came into a cold house – it was 48 F (9 C) inside of the house! It was a few degrees warmer outside, even at 10 PM. Yeah, so I made the best of it, slept in the cold, and got up and worked in the morning. In the cold. Brrrr. I took a few hours off of work at the end of the day and ran out to buy a thermocoupler for the heater. Back home and it took just a few minutes to fix. And I have heat!

I have two cats down here with me, Alexander and Tiberius. They have been keeping me company, even if Tiberius thinks computers are great toys and constantly changes what I am working on….

I put in an almost full week of work – besides the few hours on Monday, I had Thursday off for Veteran’s Day. Work was, well, enough about work…

This week I took long walks on a couple of beaches, West Dennis, which is just down the road, and Chapin, my favorite. I did many walks to the two landings that are close. I kayaked on Thursday and this morning. I ran on Tuesday and Thursday (I plan on it this afternoon). I exercised. I did some work around the house. I read. I practiced music a little. And I took care of kittens ;) I obviously walked down to one landing or another every dawn and sunset this week. OK, on Wednesday I was at the beach at sunset. And I missed two sunrises. But close (hope you enjoy the dawn and sunset photos!)

As I said, it was a beautiful week and a pretty good week over all. It was relaxing.

Anyway, I am inside, and I need to be outside – it is nice out there! So I will sign off for now.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend! If you have a coffee share, I will try to stop by. No promises.

(Oh, I forgot – Thursday evening was my 8 year blog anniversary (blogiversary).)

Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

The kayaking sounds fun and exciting…probably a bit too much so for me. Cats are definitely great company (well when they want to be, LOL). Good to hear you got heat again…sounds quite cold over there. Meanwhile we’ve been hitting mid to high 80’s around here (that’s Fahrenheit by the way

Mid to high 80s is a bit warm for me, particularly in November! It is pretty cool here, but I have seen much colder autumns, so I won’t complain – I do like all 4 seasons. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

Hey Trent. Lovely photos again and I loved the quip about Tiberius messing with your computer.
Once I got caught needing to do some work on a computer while baby sitting a little guy who was stuck in a car seat because he had a reflex issue and could not be left lying down flat.
What a failed attempt. You think cats and computers are tough. Even a baby knows the difference between you focusing on a computer rather than them and does not appreciate sharing your attention with that foul screen. . .

lol, I am sure that was not very fun. Yes, kids, and animals, are aware when you are not putting 100% of your attention onto them. I hope you had a good weekend and have a wonderful week.

Thanks! The photos are on the Bass River, which is tidal, so flows in the direction of the tide. It is rarely this flat (because of wind and current), but I hit a few really calm times, which gives it that almost lake-like appearance.

Thanks, Charlotte. Your blog was one of the first that I followed and one of the few from that time that I still see posting. Free weekends and performing artists? I think not ;) I’m glad you have a break, though also glad that you have been busy during this rough time! Enjoy the weekend and your meal out.

Yes, cats and computers…. They manage to find function buttons on the keyboard that I didn’t even know existed! 😂
Your story about the 9 degrees inside makes me think of the last time we lived in Ireland, 12 years ago. I came back after Christmas while my husband went to Norway for work, and had 10 degrees inside the house. That was absolutely awful!

A cold house is awful when you don’t expect it! And then having to live with it for a while… Cats do seem to be able to find the exact “right” keys to press. “What in the world just happened? Oh…” lol. I hope your weekend is going well.

Thanks! Sunrises and sunsets over the water are always the best (well, I like mountains, too, but…). Luckily I have run into the same issue before so I didn’t spend an arm an a leg for a $15 part and 5 minute fix! I hope you have a great family visit :)

Nope, going north of us. Looks like pretty good, if a little cool, weather ahead (it will reach 66 by the end of the week!) Although our weather does come from the west, the ocean is a huge influence and a lot comes up the coast, even in NH were I am about 50 miles from the ocean.
