Hi all! Come on in and I’ll get you large, steaming mug of super strong dark roast, a piping cuppa tea, some hot cocoa or other warm beverage. It is not really frigid out, but with the very moist air, it feels cold! And you may notice a few flakes. Yeah, we are getting snow, and I’ve seen estimates for my town up to 9 in/23 cm. Not a huge amount, but enough! And it is strange since the week was so unseasonably warm. Oh, and where are we? Some of you may recognize that “getting ready for the snow” photo at the top as coming from New Hampshire. (forecast is for more than twice that amount of snow…)
It was an odd week! Work was super busy. I was in meetings pretty much all week, many security meetings, some going up as high as you get… Let’s just say that we are being ultra-aggressive in our response. Enough said. And then there are about four projects we are trying to finish before everyone goes away on holiday leave. And then just stuff in general, like a huge outage last night. Ugh.
I was not able to enjoy the warm weather as much as I would have liked, but I did get out running three times. It wasn’t my longest mountain route, but I did have some beautiful views of Pack Monadnock and North Pack (Temple Mountain is also visible). I also did weight exercises, walked dogs, played with dogs (Fiyero has a new ball and wanted to play and play when going out before the walks), cat walks, kitten play, reading and lots of music making. I had massage and talked to a few friends and neighbors. A good week over all.
Did I say in my last coffee share that I set up my tree? Hmm, that might have been my weekly smile. Those were my only two posts last week, and the few weeks before were also pretty sparse. I did not read any blogs last week – I was too busy! Not sure what is happening with the blog…
We are supposed to have a Lions Club meeting (aka “Christmas Party”) tonight, but I am not sure with the snow coming this afternoon. It isn’t far, but the driveway is always awful in a snow storm (I share a drive with a church, and it is on a steep incline. They plow, but, being a church, they are last on the plow-guy’s route.)
Besides the party, I have a lot to do today. I want to make chili. I need to wrap gifts. I need to prepare for the snow. I need to do some cleaning. etc., etc. and so forth.
Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share I will try to make a visit.
Oh, some may remember a video I posted last week. If you go back looking for it, it is gone – my voice was just too awful and I did not want to subject any more people to it… ;)
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
Hello Trent well here in Aus we’re melting 39c 102f yesterday the humidity was the ridiculous thing about heat. Glad you could get out & have a little exercise. I’m late to your blog as usual. Hope you are having an excellent week. Much merryment to you & yours

Yikes, that is warm! There were parts of the US that were pretty hot, particularly given that it is winter here, but not quite that hot! Christmas in summer always seems strange to me…. Hope you are having a great week!

Hope your chili comes out well.
I am making a hot “dip” for a small little get together in the week and need to do that tomorrow
and glad your tree being up brought a smile
:)

Hi Yvette! The chili is pretty good, but still needs time for the flavors to “marry”. I’m hoping it will be ready tonight, though will taste better tomorrow. I hope your get-together (and dip) are a success. Have a great week, and if I don’t talk to you before then, a wonderful Christmas :)

Yeah, it still seems like Christmas should be a month a way, not less than a week…

It’s been unseasonably warm down here in Florida, too – in the 80s still! It almost (almost) makes me envy your snow. Happy holidays!

Almost… lol. I talked to my sister yesterday – she was on the road driving back from the Gulf coast of FL to Ohio and she said it was almost too hot during her long weekend visit! Not that she was complaining ;) Happy holidays!
