Hi all! Last week was super busy and there was a huge amount at work going on. But there were a few good things. the weather was great, and I got a few runs in. I made my totally from scratch chili, which is always great. but I’ll save the official smile for something a little different.
Our Lions Club had our Christmas/Holiday party on Saturday night. It was a snowy evening and the “crowd” was very small, but it was nice. We have only met in person two or three in the last year and a half, so being together was good. OK, we did have a summer cookout, but that seems so long ago! So it was nice to see everyone. We had the typical Yankee Swap, which is always fun. For the most part it was the typical holiday party, talking, eating and all of those, but it was nice.
That was my smile for the week, a our local Lions Club Christmas/Holiday party and social time after a couple of years of semi-lockdown.
What made you smile?
(A reminder – There will not be a Smile Recap post next week).

Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week. Why don’t you share it? I hope you can join in!
Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas. If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity. Don’t smile about the misfortune of others. Don’t smile in a way to excludes others. Make sure a 12 year old can read it.
To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile. Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment :) ). You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me). Note – I am no longer compiling the Smiles into a Recap post. I’ll try to get the new smile out between 7 and 8:30 Eastern Time.
That’s a great smile post!! I’m glad the Lions club get together was fun and you all were able to celebrate! Yay!!
I also want to wish you and your family a WONDERFUL Christmas and Happy New Year too and forgive me if I’ve already shared as I’ve been on so many blogs reading and commenting I think I’m double wishing a Merry Christmas to a lot of people! I’d rather err that way than forget to say Merry Christmas! ❤️🎄☃️❤️

Happy you could celebrate with the Lions club:) Yay, hopefully this is the beginning on a more normal life. Just read that 70% of people on the road will not curb on their holiday plans. My weekly smile is the creation of Boo, my grandson.https://livingbetweentworealms.wordpress.com/2021/12/19/are-you-ready

I’m not holding my breath waiting for things to return to “old normal”, but a new normal may be in the works in the not too distant future.
