This was written for Colleen’s weekly poetry challenge. These week was a form chosen by Colleen, and she chose haiku. I used the 3-5-3 form
The photo at the top works, but this is what inspired the poem:

Hello! Love your bog here. β€οΈ
I tried my first Haiku recently, would love for you to check it out and let me know what you think. πΈ

Thanks, Isha. I’ll stop by later and take a look. There are a few “challenges”, like Colleen’s that I wrote this one for, that are great places to practice. They are friendly and very helpful to beginners.

The pups love playing in the snow! So, yes, a magical day for them playing and for us watching them play :) I thought it best to have both sides in the photos. Thanks.

Beautiful haiku.
And the dogs playing in the snow look are what you need on a cold day to beat the blues

Snow does magically cover up the mess and bleak of late fall. Nicely painted.

Snow can be magical, and so peaceful… except when you are around dogs that go totally crazy in the snow ;) Thanks.

Snow truly is majestic! Wonderful poem, Trent! And thanks for treating us with a picture of the dogs having a blast. :-)

Thanks! Snow can be so silent and majestic, but also great fun to play in, particularly if you are a dog ;)

both photos so great – and quite opposite in mood – nicely paired and I think both go with the poem T

They are having a blast! I don’t know why dogs love snow so much, but I think they all do. It is the wind doing the sculpting in that first photo. Thanks, Colleen.

Even our little Pomeranians used to love the snow! I think you’re right. Dogs just love snow. <3

I don’t know what it is about a snow day that inspires the dogs to play like puppies, but that play did inspire this ;) Actually, that photo was from a year and a half ago, but the dogs did play hard after this latest snowfall. Thanks!
