If We Were Having Coffee on the 12th of February, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in! It is relatively warm out there, so we can take a walk as we sip the coffee – you know me, I’d rather be on my feet than on my bum any time of day, even when it is -40! But it is not, it is already almost 50 F/10 C, so very nice for February in New Hampshire! Oh, wait, I gave away the location already and can’t do my typical “guess where we are by the photo at the top” thing, now can I?

This was a good week. OK there were a lot of appointments this week, as has become typical! This week I promise not to complain. lol I had Lions Club on Tuesday, had a blood test on Thursday morning and had a haircut on Wednesday. Here is before.

Now after.

Anyway, besides that, the week was pretty much typical. There were plenty of dog walks, I was able to do my weight exercises and tried a row machine for aerobic (not the same as running!). I read a lot. I played music (played an instrument) and experimented with recording, though purposefully didn’t do anything to share.

One thing to share… I have a large dog bed on the floor of my studio/office/personal space ie, my Man Cave. (Quick aside – the painting in before and after photos is in my Man Cave.) Tiberius has been hanging out there quite a bit lately. Last night Fiyero was curled up on the bed and Tiberius came in. He climbed up on Fiyero, waking him. They touched noses, then Tiberius Curled up pressed tightly against Fiyero. Fieyero watched Tiberius for a while, shooting me a few quick glances, then laid back down. It was so funny. Here is a photo taken about 10 minutes later.

I know people have the programming books in their Man Caves, but I’m not sure how many people have highly technical (i.e., filled with differential equations) books on Special Relativity in their Man Caves ;) (You can see the cover behind Fiyero’s head – programming books behind his back).

Anyway, that is about it. I need to get out and enjoy this beautiful day! Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit.

Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

Thanks. I do like keeping my hair a bit long (for a man). We have a few paintings i really like, but I usually use a different one for back drops – I think I like this better, though it tinted my face to the red side.

Play is important, and a lot of animals play/fight. Our dogs look, and sound, so vicious when they are playing, but if you stop them, they just look at you with huge grins, as if to say, wasn’t that fun?

Fieyero and Tiberius are just adorable together. Are they always this good friends? Your haircut looks nice. What are you reading right now? Thanks for the coffee. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tiberius and Fiyero do get along pretty well. Tiberius isn’t quite Fiyero’s “bud” the way Albert used to be, but, for the most part, our cats and dogs all do get long very well. Thanks re: haircut :) I am reading a few things (I’m traveling this summer – more details to come – and am reading up on destination). My main read is Dickens’ Bleak House – Yvette Prior and I are doing another Dickens Challenge this year, and the book we picked is Bleak House.
I hope your weekend went well and that you have a wonderful week! I’ll be by soon to see if you have a coffee post up :)

In the photo it does look a little like Fiyero (the dog) is just putting up with Tiberius (the cat) while Tiberius has a huge grin, doesn’t it? Tiberius is very feisty and always seems to get his way, but Fiyero does love being with him.

Hey Trent, I missed out on most of the fun when I had to leave my cat with my folks to move into the dorm for college back in the late 70s. My mom had a new puppy, a yorky terrier, and my cat owned that dog which finally grew to be almost as big and my normal size cat who could have been Tiberius’ body double. All kinds of havoc happened between them but I doubt the cat ever extended a claw against the dog because he liked using him for batting practice too much. My parents, my dad in particular loved stirring them up and laughing loudly at the results. I got to see some of the fun whenever I visited and frankly struggled to understand how that dog was still alive – but laugh I did . . .

lol, it can be fun to watch. Every so often one of the cats “attacks” Fiyero, but it is always paws, not claws, and always 100% play. Fiyero isn’t always sure how he is supposed to respond…. Idina will give chase – she will never hurt them, but they do not take chances ;)
When I watch the dogs play fight, and they are very rough, I always wonder why it is so fun to watch. Why do we laugh? Is it because ti does look so violent yet we know they are having fun and nobody will get hurt, like a roadrunner cartoon? I don’t know, but it is fun.

Tiberius and Fiyero seem like good friends. I love the boxer way of assessing the situation and then just accepting that its cuddle time. My boxer, Maddi, does it with the kids. They will get on her pillow to cuddle and watch TV. She will lift her head, look them over and then cast a glance at me before she puts her head down to snore and fart the time away.

Thanks for the virtual coffee. Hope you have a great weekend.

They are great friends. Boxer’s are great, and super intelligent, so that look at you and me is most likely communication with the alpha human present “yeah, I get the responsibility of having the young ones cuddle with me.” Luckily Fieryo is not a big stinker (our first boxer, Brady was!) so just snoring his time away with the kitten cuddled up.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having a great weekend.
