Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a beautiful day out there, maybe a bit on the cool side, but sunny and not cold. And, actually, not windy, which is a huge plus. Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo as being from Cape Cod.
I drove down here on Wednesday evening. Thursday was a little wet and cool and I really didn’t do a huge amount, though the dogs had quite a few walks and play time. Friday started wetter, but turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. I did get a long walk at the beach in, as well as dog walks. I went for breakfast this morning and just got back.
Earlier in the week I was in New Hampshire and the dogs on the Cape, but I did a lot of very long walks without them. I also did a couple of runs and have kept up my exercise routine. There was a massage on Wednesday.
The last week saw quite a bit of socializing with friends and neighbors – I think the spring weather, though still on the cool side, brings more people out. But even with the cooler weather, spring is making itself known with flowers and other such things.
Work was busy, and we did reach a good milestone on one of my projects, but, as with last week, the less said, the better – it is the weekend ;)
Can’t remember a lot of creative work over the last week.
And that is about it. Pretty boring, though I hope to remedy that a bit today. Not sure exactly, but it is beautiful out, so I won’t be sitting inside.
And speaking of that, I need to get moving! Thanks for stopping in for some coffee and a chat. If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
You have such interesting coffee mugs – I was fascinated by the design of this one (lovely mantlepiece) … upon closer examination, I realised it was a bat!
Sounds like you enjoyed lovely weather this week and had lots of opportunities for socialising … Spring has definitely arrived for you!

Edward Gorey was a very interesting artist. Although he worked in the 2nd half of the 20th century, his work looks like the Victorian age (mid-19th century). It is full of dark humor. There is a small museum in the house he owned about 10 miles from where I live on Cape Cod, so the bat mug came from that museum. A little different from the Monet mug ;)
It was a pretty good week, and nice that the weather is finally better.
Hop you are having a great week :)

Thank you for the name of the artist … I have googled him. What fun that you have access to an interesting micro-museum to showcase his work.
Hope you are enjoying another week of good weather. We’ve had rain almost everyday starting the weekend … cools down the temps but makes it challenging to plan outdoor things.

He was an interesting artist and the little micro-museum is fun.
It’s cooler and windier this week, but not bad :) Hope you get some dry weather.

I’m glad someone had good weather today! We’re cold and rainy and there are snowflakes in this week’s forecast. Mid April. Unbelievable for this part of the country. We should be warmer. Wet, yes. Snow? No way

Good to hear you’re getting a bit of nice weather and spending time with friends. After the last couple of years, the normal things are anything but boring.

A benefit of our small town is that I was able to see people on occasion – it would always b a quick stop (outside) as i walked the dogs and the conversations were half shouted because of social distancing, but at least I remembered how to talk to people other than over Zoom ;) I hope you are doing well and things are beginning to seem a little closer to normal on your side of the world.

I’m not a big socialising kind of person in normal times; the pandemic made me lose a lot of skills. But I’m slowly getting there and learning how to be around people again. I even went out to a bar with a friend a couple of weeks ago!

I’m an ultra-introvert, so any type of socializing has never been easy…

It always sounds like you have pretty darn good weeks, walks on the beach, dog play, going in between your beautiful homes. Sounds pretty good! Thank you for the coffee :)

You may think this is funny – I told you that we had an exchange student from Sweden (from Härnösand, to be exact) when I was in high school. His family had two homes and it blew me away – I had never met anyone with two homes! But then I moved to the East Coast and discovered that pretty much if you owned one house, you had a second get-away house or cabin in the woods/mountains/by a lake or near the ocean. lol I am spoiled by it now. It was a great week. Thanks for the visit!

Between your long walks on the beach and social time it seems like a glorious week was had! The shift in season always makes me want to get out more and see more people and I’m grateful that *this spring will allow for that more than the past two :-) Hope you have a wonderful week ahead, Trent!

One of the benefits of my small town was that even at the height of the pandemic, you’d still see people around town. Everything was out of doors and conversations half shouted from socially acceptable distances, but it was nice to see everyone. But, yeah, even here there is more chance for greater interaction :) Overall, it was a great week. Hope you have a wonderful week as well!

Socializing with friends and neighbours sound nice. Our weather is finally starting to shift. Cool, but warm enough our snow is melting. It rained yesterday but it is calling for snow today. We shall see. Hope your week provides plenty of opportunity to enjoy the outside.
