Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a little cloudy out, but warmish. It does feel like spring! In fact, this entire week was very much spring with a few days of short-sleeve/no-jacket weather! Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo, though I’ve only used it a couple of times, as coming from New Hampshire. And, yes, the daffodils have been out all week :)
Since the weather was so nice, I did a lot outside. Down on Cape Cod last weekend I did my first kayak paddle of the year. I did a couple of very long walks in the woods in New Hampshire (I don’t call it a “hike” unless it is at least two or three hours…). I ran in just shorts and t-shirt a couple of times. Of course there is walking dogs and such included in there.
Work…, well, OK, I worked this week.
I played around with drawing and doing “painting” on the computer (see yesterday’s post for the outcome of one drawing). Part of the reason was just experimenting with ideas before doing the cover reveal of my upcoming book of science fiction short stories. Here is that cover:

I did play with music a little, but not much. However, I did post a video on YouTube. It was from a song I wrote and recorded quite a while ago. I’ll post the video at the bottom of the page.
It was a busy week, but I don’t remember much… Hmm, there was some exercise, visiting friends, talking to family, etc. Typical stuff.
Anyway, I am going to go out and do some things in the world. Hope you all have a great weekend and happy Easter (if you celebrate). Thanks for stopping in. If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

How exciting with your book!
Isn’t it lovely to not wear all the winter clothes? I am so enjoying spring.

You transplanted the tomatoes today… I put all of my winter clothes away! Well, most. I have a cedar trunk that I use to swap winter and summer wardrobe and most of my turtlenecks and wool sweaters just went in :)

Love the percussion in Mohr’s Circle, and congrats on the book! And glad you were able to get out kayaking. I’m jealous. I enjoy the desert, but I miss water, especially the ocean.

Thanks! I am a bit spoiled to be able to get out on the water as much as I do… Have a great week!

Hi Trent ~ the outlaw!! Haha, I couldn’t resist. I Love daffodil’s, so pretty! I’m so happy it’s warming up so you can enjoy even better the great outdoors. I saw that you kayaked last week, that sounds like fun. One of these days I need to find a local place here to kayak. Happy Easter weekend! And I hope you have a good week ahead! 😀

Cold springs are not that unusual here, but we have been spoiled by a few very warm ones lately. Tye flowers are all pretty much on schedule, perhaps a couple of days off, but close. It is nice to have Spring here! Next week will be a little cooler than last week, but still spring.
Happy Easter! Hope your weekend is going well and that you have a great week!

Our daffs aren’t in bloom yet except for one rouge bunch.

Yeah, you’ve had a cold spring and are behind! We’ve had daffodils for over a week, and I know that my parents (in Ohio on Lake Erie between Cleveland and Toledo) have had a lot of snow but also have daffodils. Hopefully that one rouge bunch will be joined by the others soon!

Trent, Congratulations on the upcoming book. You are very prolific! I am in a long stretch on one particular book. Oh well, it happens. I am making my living in my day job and come home wanting to rest, then I write up a storm during the summer. I am hoping for that this year as well. Have a happy Easter!

Thanks, Pam. This book was actually years in the making – mostly short stories written between mid 2018 and early 2021 and first complied and edited last March. It’ll feel nice to finish it up! Good luck on finishing your WIP – hopefully you’ll be able to crank it out this summer, Happy Easter!

There is a little light rain right now, but for the most part a nice day which I have been enjoying :)

I finally got the chance to listen to Mohr’s Circle.
Wow – what a fun workout that must have been for both you and the keyboard.
I’m never clear on why I like the type of percussion entry and exist you used, but I always do.
Fun stuff Trent.

Thanks, Gary. It was amazing how much that percussion intro/outro added to the whole.

You’re into kayaking too? I got my kayak last year and I love it! There are many lakes where I live to explore, and the weather’s getting nicer, so I should be out soon, too. I hope you have a great Easter 😊

These days kayaking is one of my favorite out door activities. Looking for a house on Cape Cod, my top criteria is I need to be able to get the kayak in the water without having to put it on the car ;) There are a few really nice lakes up in New Hampshire, but I no longer have a kayak here, so get my kayaking “fix” in when I’m on the Cape. I hope you getout on the water soon. Have a great Easter :)

Oops, sorry, that was past tense – back when we looked for the house we now have on Cape Cod that was my priority – that is why I am able to kayak so easy when down there :)
