Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or a hot cocoa. It is a little cool out, but it will be warmish today. Warmish, but you still might want a jacket. This week was very much a spring week, but not very warm over all. Yesterday was the warmest. Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.
Of course a work week. OK, next topic ;)
The dogs were with their human mother visiting Maine, so it was just the cats and bird and me. The cats were a lot of fun and slept on top of me all night every night. When the dogs are away, the cats will play might not be the way the saying goes, but it is true here.
In ways it was a pretty boring week. I didn’t get a lot done, which might be surprising with no dogs. Early in the week I did some needed work. I also did the yearly transition of putting all of my winter clothes in the cedar chest and getting the summer clothes out. I usually do it in two shots about a month apart, but since the early spring was so cold, I started late and so did it all in a day.
As always I did a lot of walking, even without the dogs. I also ran a few times and exercised. I tried to keep busy… I visited friends and talked to family. I did practice the piano a little (not enough!) and played my electronics some. I did very little writing and only posted on the blog Monday and Wednesday. I had massage. Hmm, did I do anything else?
Anyway, I was pretty boring this week. That being said, I do have a full schedule this weekend and will be off doing town activities in a few hours (more about that later).
So that is about it. Thanks for visiting! If you have a coffee share I will try to stop by.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
Sounds like it was a full week, if not exciting ;-) I personally think excitement can be overrated. Trading out the winter wardrobe sounds lovely to me! I am rarely “cold” (my family calls me a polar bear) so while I keep a few layers handy and have a good winter jacket, my t-shirts never leave the closet, even in the coldest months. Hope your weekend was lovely and that the week ahead offers you a bit of excitement!

Yes, the week was low key but full in its own way… I do better in very cold weather than most, but like the feel of turtlenecks in the winter and love wool. I keep my house pretty frigid, so perhaps its needed ;)
Have a wonderful week!

Hi Trent,
Now you have me dreaming of a home with enough cedar cabinets to store seasonal wardrobe items. Right now, we just live with bursting closets and drawers.
Hmmm, this is something to work on.
Another item to solve for retirement and relocation to somewhere other than Calif..
thanks for the visit.

I have an old steamer trunk sized chest which pretty much fits my wool sweaters and turtlenecks over the summer and my short sleeved shirts and shorts over the winter. It’s amazing how much can fit in an old steamer trunk…. (OK, I still have a lot of wool sweaters and turtle necks on Cape Cod that are just on shelves, but…)
Thanks for stopping in.

I really enjoy putting my winter clothes and gear away, while bringing out the warm weather things. I did it a few weeks ago. It’s refreshing! It sounds wonderful to store your clothes in a cedar chest, I can only imagine the wonderful scent. I hope your weekend is amazing.

It is refreshing to make that change – it is a very clear mark in the sand that seasons have changed :)

Slower week and a busier weekend, seems like a fair trade. Enjoy Trent. Thanks for the virtual coffee.
