Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is still on the cool side, but will get warm today. Two days ago they were saying 98 F/37 C, but they have changed it to being a high of “only” 92 F/33 C. Tomorrow will get up to that 98 F, though. Warm for May in New Hampshire! Oh, I just told you were we are without referring to the photo at the top, didn’t I?
I started with weather,so… You may remember that we had a hot weekend last week as well. It did get pretty cool during the week and was light jacket weather most days, so the heat this weekend, even though warmer than last, won’t be as bad since the house is going into it is almost 15 F (8 C) degrees cooler than it was going into last week’s heat.
Work has been insane of late, and pretty much all I can remember from last week was work, and I don’t want to talk about work, so…
The dogs were up in Maine, so no dog walks, but I still tried to get out as much as possible, when work let me. I ran a few times, did my weight exercise and had massage on Wednesday. I played around with music a bit. I read. I put all of the electric space heaters away and got fans out (I actually turned on space heaters up to two weeks ago!).
As I said, last week was pretty much a blur with work taking up so much of my energy, so that is about it.
Thanks for stopping in! If you have a weekend coffee share post I will try to stop in, but, as usual, no promises.
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
Sorry to hear work is so stressful and for the long term. Hope you get a chance to unwind.
Best wishes,
Ro

Hi Trent
Putting the space heaters away is truly a sign of Summer (and crazy you were just using them two weeks ago)
It reminds me that I just pout was the winter pajamas and winter clothes!

I did change out my wardrobe about a month ago since I don’t wear wool sweaters when it is in the 50s, but I still need heat when it is that cold!

That makes sense to wait on the haters !
And this morning we have light warm rain –
Kind of nice after the heat weave last week

That is very hot weather for May. I hope next week will give you more time to yourself. This week seem to have been hectic for many of the coffee lovers in our group. Enjoy the last of your weekend.

Thanks. The work week may be just as busy, but at least this week coming up I have a little time off planned, so a little light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Mine was a busy week too but I bet yours was worse.
Maybe we’ll both get a break this week

Sorry you had a bad week as well. I am taking a little time off around Memorial Day, so will have a small break. Hope you get a breather soon as well.

Well – there’s the rub. I just took close to a week and half off, but it was all hustled travel or helping my son & DIL move to their new home out of California, or graduate from college in Virginia. Great times both, but far from restful.

OK, super busy, but with life, not work.

Thanks, Natalie. Yesterday wasn’t quite as hot as forecast, so very enjoyable. Next weekend is a holiday down here and I am taking a little extra time, so even if work is bad, I have that to look forward to.
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Love that trillium in your pic! We had trilliums in our garden in Portland–I miss them.
Nineties does sound warm for New Hampshire. We’re mid-upper 90s here, which is tolerable (anything under 105 is tolerable by AZ standards).

I grew up with larger white trillium, so these little red ones still amaze me. I looked yesterday, and they well past their prime now – they are early spring flowers.
Yesterday didn’t get quite as hot as predicted (it touched 90), and today won’t be quite as bad, but it will still top out around 95, which, yeah, very hot for here in May!
I hope your weekend is going well.

Oh I remember those work weeks. One crazy week runs into the next, right through the weekends sometimes. Lots of times for me. Glad you got some personal time though, and hope next week is a lot calmer! Love the red trillium!

It’s weeks like last week that make me take a closer look at retirement… I am taking a small amount of time around Memorial Day, so that will help.
I checked yesterday and the red trillium are well past their peak. Oh well, they are pretty.
I hope you are having a great weekend!

Thanks, Pam, I hope you are having a great weekend.
I started out with a couple of indoor pictures, but a few years ago I decided to make a series of outdoor, seasonal photos. Glad you like them.

Thanks, Robbie. These last few months have been busier than any time I can remember at work, but hopefully there will be a short pause soon…
Have a great week!

HI Trent, it is the same for me and I am finding it very tiring. I’ve had nearly nine months on the trot. It’s one of the reasons I’ve put my novel on hold, it’s just to much right now.

It has been getting busier and busier with no end in sight here… Sorry you had to put the novel on hold. Hopefully something frees up soon :)
