I had a pretty good life.
Well, OK, maybe not so great, and that ending… Did I just say “well”?
Maybe I should say I had a pretty good after-life.
Had.
I loved mixing with the people, that look on their faces when they became aware that I was there! Priceless.
Ah the memories!
And then the put a glass tabletop over my well. My well!
And suddenly, here I am, a tourist attraction. All the jerks trying to get pictures of me with their cell phones.
I’ve become a tourist attraction.
I could just die.
Except I’m already dead…

Why do the living have to be such killjoys. Her name was Joy, wasn’t it? ;)

This is the story of Joy Wells, whose jealous husband threw her down a… well, you know the story, don’t you? lol, I was calling the ghost “he”, but it could be “Joy”, and, yeah the living can be such killjoys.

Fun in the afterlife. Seems like a friendly sort for now, provided they leave his well alone.

He is a friendly sort, though he does like to get a rise out of people, which he hasn’t been able to do lately. Yeah, leave his well alone!

Quite a different perspective but I do like the tone you used here, Trent! Fun, cheeky but indignant!

Thanks! I tried to have fun with this one :)

Yep. When you’re dead, it is all pretty much over. Except for this story. Nicely done, Trent.

Turn of the lights, it’s over… unless you are in ghost story. Thanks.

I love he sounds well and truly insulted by his final predicament.

Very insulted. After centuries of scaring people, and now he might as well be a pet poodle…

It’s not easy being a ghost. Poor sod.

Being a ghost can make for a difficult life.. uhm, I mean after-life… existence? Whatever, it isn’t easy.

Oh the poor ghost! I guess his sort cannot go through glass?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m not sure if he go through the glass or not, just that if he tries, there is always someone there trying to get a good photo, and he can’t have that!

There is that!!

Great take. Knocking on the glass isn’t the same fun if you can’t get out to play for a while!

Not nearly as much fun… Thanks. Iain.

Thanks. No, the poor ghost is not too happy about the situation…

Dear Trent,
Now that was a different take. Such a dilemma. You made me laugh.
