Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, a hot cocoa or some other beverage. It is pretty chilly out there, but it will warm up a little today and we’ll have pleasant afternoon. Perfect early autumn weather, though the official start of autumn is still a few days away. It does feel like mid-October instead of mid-September, but not complaining! Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.
It is one of those weeks that I look back, scratch my head, and say, “What in the world did I do?” Hmmm. Well, I’ll make a stab at it…
I drove back from Cape Cod Saturday evening. I had been down there for over a week. It was good to be back. Sort of. In ways it is difficult to split time and energy between the two places, particularly as we get closer to a time when the place on Cape Cod will be the primary home and NH a get away. That time might not be far off…
I did a lot of the usual stuff. I ran a couple of times, exercised, walked dogs, walked the Trent, did some work around the house, played with cats, ate out (it was our anniversary on Wednesday), read, read some more, played music, did a little blogging, etc. For the most part a typical week. OK, a few differences in the anniversary part, and there was a little more reading than usual (though I’ve had many weeks where I’ve read much more). And I do have a little surprise, but it will have to wait for it to be finalized, so perhaps next week.
There was also work. Catching up after the week off wasn’t as bad as expected. It wasn’t as busy as some weeks, but it was still pretty busy with a few very long working meetings.
I do have a pretty full agenda this weekend. The weather will be nice today, though maybe not be quite as nice tomorrow (it will be warmer, but there might be rain). I have some running around to do. There is also some work around the house. And then, of course, typical weekend stuff.
Thanks for dropping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit and say, “Hi!” have a great weekend!
Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
Happy Anniversary, it is mild and bright here in London, great for the Queens procession today and all those thousands of people that queued many for over 12 hours to pay their respects in person to the Queen whilst lying in State.

Thanks.
Glad there was nice weather for all of the people coming out to pay final respects to the Queen. It must have been something to wait as long as so many people did to walk by and pay their respects in person.

Thank you for the coffee Trent, I am reading your coffee share Monday morning, as it turned out to be a very busy outdoorsy weekend. I hope you got time enjoy the weather outside. Do you see any fall colours in New Hampshire? Have a great new week, and thank you for the coffee, I needed it this morning. After getting so much energy form my outdoor activities this weekend I wasn’t tired att all when it was time to go to bed last night…

Hi Maria! I’m glad you were able to spend a lot of time outside on Sunday. I did have some outside time, but not as much as I’d like. Maybe next weekend…
There is a little color here, but not much. The ground had been so brown up until a few weeks ago, and some leaves changed and fell back in August, but then the rains came, and it is better. Well, looking out of the window, the leaves are beginning to change. The maples have a slight yellow tinge. In a week or two it should start getting really nice.
Glad the outdoors restored some energy! Have a great week!

Happy anniversary!
We had a couple of weeks that felt almost fall-ish, and now it’s back to 100F every day. But the days are shorter and the nights are cooler–the cool nights being especially welcome.

Back to 100F? Ouch! I hope you get some relief soon! Well, I’m sure a day or two at a place with water helped ;) And having cooler nights is a plus.

Happy Anniversary! So much rain where I am that the pool is starting to overflow, but at least the real feel is no longer 95 at 10pm. 😁 Looking forward to finding out about your surprise!

Thanks, Shannon! I don’t know if we are still technically in drought up here, but having some rain has helped. The Cape was still brown last week, but NH is actually green, at least until the leaves change. And we’ve seen 40s a couple of times at night(!), though it will be in the 80s today.
Have a great week!

Our temperature isn’t too bad surprisingly, but today it has rained all day. I steady rain of big noisy drops. Anyway, I hope your busy agenda involves some fun activities. Thanks for the virtual coffee, Trent.

Yes, I did have time for a little fun today, and it looks like the rain won’t hit until after dark tomorrow, so should get a lot of outside time in :)
I hope it clears up for you tomorrow so you can get out. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.
