“We blame this indignity on you!”
“Moi?”
“Top predator and all. Thought you’d have a taste a bird, huh?”
“No, he wanted some frog legs!”
“You’re bigger than me! I was just playing. Kitten, remember?”
“Right.”
“Hey, don’t blame me. You are so obsessed about your frogdom that you had to jump in that water.”
“To escape you…”
“You wouldn’t escape jumping into Tommy’s bath! And you idiot birds followed.”
“We had to help our friend!”
“If only your brains weren’t made of stuffing, you’d have the answer.”
“How long before we dry and go back to Tommy’s bed?”

Thanks. Life, or whatever you call it for stuffed animals, is an adventure for this group.

I like that they are best buddies and have time to process just what happened to land them on the line.

They do spend a lot of time together, so… I’m impressed that they as high level with all of that fluff for brains ;)

Love the bickering! What a fun bunch, trouble is around the corner with that lot . Cute story!

I think they will always be in trouble, and their child will always be blamed for it. Thanks!

Loved this. Tommy’s bed, where more conversations await. 🙂

Yep, once they are back “home” on Tommy’s bead, they will go back to their normal bickering, many instigated by Tommy himself.

Lol! A great take, Trent!
I see your sense of humour hanging on that clothesline!

Sense of humor? No, that is exactly what they are saying. No humor involved… lol, Thanks! had a little fun with this one.

A fun story, Trent. But shame on you for eavesdropping on a conversation between soft toys! Lol.

For some odd reason stuffed toys think adults can’t hear them, so it is easy to eavesdrop… Thanks!

They are! You never know what they’ll be into next…

These conversations are happening on lines everywhere! I’m sure they are not done with their adventures (as long as Tommy is into them, that is).

I think they are happening every where, or at least all over FF this week ;) Every day is an adventure as long as their human believes it is.

You’ve got that right! And I love that. Only limited by imagination

Nice personification Trent. I must try to remember that is a literary device that creates a sense of fun! Well done.

Thanks! For me dialog is the quickest, easiest way to define a character, even when the characters have fluff for brains ;)

Very amusing dialogue, Trent, from the toy’s point of view. I’m sure they get into plenty of trouble when Tommy’s not looking, and the little boy gets the blame. Cute!

With just fluff for brains, how can they avoid getting into trouble? Thanks!

And yet the parents never believe it …

Nope. I’m sure it would be, “Tommy! How many times have I told you to keep your stuffed animals out of the bathtub!”
“But, but…”

And with a stuffed cute kitten as a lead there is sure to be a million memes about it. Not to mention the commercial tie ins… Thanks.

Just have an adult human come by and they’ll calm down quite a bit…

It seems like bath tubs are rather dangerous. I right enjoyed the read

Seen from the eyes of a stuffed toy (or a FF writer with a wet stuffed toy photo), yes, very dangerous. Thanks

A bit of fluff, a bit of stuffing, these toys have a hard time thinking with those limited resources in their heads.

They may have limited powers of deduction but stuffing-powered language centres are going great guns

It’s amazing what you can get from stuffing! Logic, however, has never been a stuffed animal’s strong point.

It sounds as though the adventure is already losing its allure.

Hopefully the adventures involving bathtubs is losing the allure, but tomorrow those fluff for brains will get into a new adventure.
