Hello and Welcome! Come in quickly! It is cold and windy out there. We are at 6F/-14 C now, but I think we got pretty close to 0F/-18C. It is windy, but not terribly so. Enough that you want to stay in wind shadows! Brrrr. It was 55F/13C yesterday afternoon, and then, with a wind like I haven’t seen – I opened the door to prove to the dogs nobody was out there and closed it, me being afraid – it sounded like every tree in the woods were falling. I used a flashlight to look, and it looked like every tree was about to be ripped up… It didn’t last long, but the cold followed behind. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the picture at the top as being from New Hampshire.
The storm wasn’t as bad here as some places. We are cold, but not in the extremes – 0 F in New Hampshire is winter. The rain yesterday was awful and there was a lot of flooding in our state, but we didn’t have the snow fall some places got. We lost power twice – once for less than a minute and once for less than an hour. I played piano by candle light during the longer outage 🙂. Fiyero sat beside me.
Oh, thinking of Fiyero and the piano, if you didn’t see my Thursday post, I always play piano for the dogs when I feed them (they expect it now!) and on Thursday I came up with a new arrangement for Greensleeves. I will put the video at the bottom – Don’t worry, I don’t sing!! lol Yes, I did three recordings in a week, including writing a song and doing this arrangement (you can see the Thursday’s post for the third).
It was an odd week. Work was busy. Fiyero was demanding on his outsides time – we took a few walks at an almost running pace that took us back in the woods, up a couple of large hills, thorough parts of the village we usually don’t visit, etc. I didn’t get enough normal exercise, so I hope a slow jog with Fiyero a few times this week will help.
Music, reading, a little exercise (no running ☹), work, dogs, cats, dark at 4 – not quite a normal week, but it will do.
It is very icy outside. I need to do something about it – at the very least, chip off the cars and make sure we can get in and out and the dogs can walk (short walks for dogs – Brrrr!)
Thanks for stopping in. There is no official coffee share this week so no link-up. I’ll try to make it back to see those that visit, here, but a little more difficult this week.
Anyway, Merry Christmas to those who celibate! It is Christmas Eve as I write… Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate that holiday. Happy Yule, solstice and holidays – the days will be growing longer!
The Weekend Coffee Share is hosted by Natalie the Explorer. She is taking a break for the holidays, but the official share will return!

The weather has been so strange this whole year. Piano by candle light sounds like a brilliant way to spend the time. Happy holidays, Trent. Thanks for the virtual coffee

We’re 18 degrees F. and it feels like 1 degree F. It’s still snowing. I think we have close to 8 inches by now. Brrr….

Great dog and cat photos to the tune of your Greensleeves. You’ve got a real cold snap out east as well!

Most of the country got the cold snap. I think you may be colder than us, but, brrrr…. Glad you like the pet parade video :)

Happy Holidays, Trent! Looking on the temperatures in New Hamshire, i should not longer rant about our “Bavarian Siberia” here. Lol Our deepest temperatures in winter are similar to yours. Best wishes, Michael

It can get pretty cold here! But today there are many places in the US colder than New Hampshire, so I won’t complain either. Thanks for the reblog. Happy Holidays.
