If We Were Having Coffee on the 14th of January, 2023 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in where it is dry. I don’t think it is still raining, but it is misting and still very wet. It poured all day yesterday and was damp and cold on Thursday (at least Friday was warmish!). Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

I drove down the The Cape Wednesday after dinner. Tiberius, the little stinker, hid when I was getting ready – he loves it here, but hates the drive. Or,should I say, he hates the cat taxi – he does not want to be confined. It is just me and Alexander, and Alexander has been tied to me the entire time. If he wakes up and I’m not there, he meows until I call him. Most of the time he is in my lap. He sleeps on top of me all night. I am not sure if he is enjoying one-on-one time with Daddy or if he is out of sorts that Tiberius isn’t here. Anyway, I did post a good photo of Alexander last week (along with Grace), so here is Tiberius (caption – we got a new Christmas ornament but it seems to knock the others out of the tree).

So I worked all week. Moving on… I ran a couple of times. On Thursday I ran onto the beach, but the sand was too soft, so I went back on the access road. I did walk the beach in the rain on Friday. I exercised. I walked when I could, and walked the dogs a lot when I was in New Hampshire, particularly over the weekend – they wanted to explore. I read. I had massage on Wednesday. Lions Club on Tuesday. Visited friends. Talked to family. I did some repair work on the house on Cape Cod. Typical week, but different ;)

Hmm, it started to rain as I was writing….

Anyway, I am going to be going – I need to move the cat off of my lap and stretch before the circulation is totally cut off to my feet.

Thanks for stopping in! If you have a coffee share I will try to visit. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Natalie the Explorer is the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

FYI – I will not be on the Coffee Share next week. I will be traveling and unable to post.

Ahh, I love it when cats cut off my circulation! 🙄
No walking these days. Today was -18c outside.
I keep hoping for a walk day, but drawing and sewing it is.
However, hope springs eternal, and hot coffee is a dream.

I love having him on my lap, but I do need the blood to flow to my toes!
Yeah, -18C is cold! If it isn’t windy,it is doable (layers!), but if it is windy, it might be too cold even for me ;) Hope you have some warms days coming up to get out. Hope you are getting a lot drawing and sewing done in this forced indoor time.
Have a good the rest of your weekend :)

One of the big problems with Cape Cod is that it sticks out into the ocean and so stays wet all of the time – we get a lot of rain!
I’m sorry that your husband is in the hospital. I hope things are goign well with him.

Tiberius, the living Christmas ornament, has just been crowned as my Weekly Smile! Love it.

Today is day two of freezing rain in my corner of the world. Yesterday morning was so bad when I drove my boys to school that I would have turned around if there was a place to do so. It was freezing to the windshield instantly no matter how high the heat was. Strangely, the roads didn’t seem to slick it was just the visibility.

Thanks for the virtual coffee, Trent. Have a great weekend.

Good to meet a fellow Lions Club member. We have a meeting next week. I would enjoy a walk on the beach so much right now verses my walking in the snow. I don’t like to walk on the sand barefoot. I have tender feet & even the softest sand makes my feet sore. Maybe if I walked barefoot enough, my feet would get used to it, though I could not stand it long enough to get to that point. #Weekendcoffeeshare

I think I was 10 before you could keep shoes on me, and even then it was a chore ;) Yeah, I may have a hard time barefoot in the Dakotas this time of year. I do walk even in the snow, but I think it gets pretty frigid in your part of the world. Have a great week and enjoy your Lions’ meeting!
