The Weekly Smile for the 13th of February, 2023 #weeklysmile

Hi All! OK, I will be boring this week… How many times have I used this idea for a Weekly Smile? Dozens? Hundreds? lol, I doubt hundreds, but it feels like it..

Have you guessed it yet?

I spent a weekend on Cape Cod. Sort of – I drove down Wednesday night and left for New Hampshire Saturday night. It was just me and the cats (well, two of the cats – Alexander and Tiberius). And I did have to work during the day (7 – 3:30) and had an insurance inspection (something I had never seen until being on the Cape). It was too cold and windy (mostly windy!) to kayak. I did not drive to Chapin Beach – the road is often semi-closed this time of year. I did not even bring my camera, so no photos.

So where were the smiles?

I took a couple of very long walks in the woods, which were great. I also did a couple of walks on the beach, one being very long. Both were very nice, and the weather was absolutely perfect on the second one (if you didn’t want to get in the water ;) ). I visited the two close by landings several times, including one of the best sunsets I have seen in ages (I forgot my phone, so no photos, but a lot of pleasure).

I also more than quadrupled the mileage on my new car and had a little time to sit in it and explore some of the settings (yeah, dozens of options on hundreds of pages). I explored different modes, etc. But that will all wait for a different post…

Anyway, ti was nice being down there with the cats and getting some nice outside time in :)

So that is my smile for this week, a few days on Cape Cod and the outside time I had there.

What made you smile?

Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week.  Why don’t you share it?  I hope you can join in!

Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas.  If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity.  Don’t smile about the misfortune of others.  Don’t smile in a way to excludes others.  Make sure a 12 year old can read it.

To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile.  Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment :) ).   You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me).  Note – I am no longer compiling the smiles into a weekly post as I used to – Sorry, I do not have time.

A lot of it is the nerd in me… I did reference the manuals once or twice after I picked up the car, but not really much – I’ve just been driving it and occasionally playing with the settings :)

Sometimes uneventful weeks are best… And this is an odd week because I have not been reading blogs very often so this will be the first time I see your post :) I’ll be by in a few minutes.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week :)
