Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a piping hot cuppa tea or a steaming mug of hot cocoa. Brrr, it is cold out there, you’ll want something to warm you up! After some warmer than average days, winter decided to strike back – the revenge of Winter! We had snow, sleet and ice Wednesday night into Friday morning and now it is frigid, one of the coldest days of the year. And I see at least two snow storms in the forecast – more snow is predicted for next week than we’ve had all winter! February is winding down and March is coming – why is winter just arriving? Oh, and where is winter arriving? Where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.
Work was straight out and has no signs of letting up.
I had massage this week. I also had a dentist appointment. So good and bad appointments ;) With snow removal, visiting friends, etc. it seems like I didn’t have time after work to do anything this week. After Monday there was little exercise and no running – unfortunately, because of the weather I do not see any runs in the next week and half.
I did walk dogs when I could and played with cats. I did some reading and things like that. Work around the house. I played with music a little and wrote and recorded a new song (no lyrics! so no torturing you ;) ) last night. Yeah, I had a little pattern that I wanted to set down so I could play around with it. Instead I recorded a new song. Well, a sketch, but a finished sketch.
That is about it. Despite being too cold to do much outside, I do have a lot that I need to get done around here. And a lot I want to do :) During the week I spend all day in front of a computer, I do not need to spend all weekend here as well.
Thanks for stopping in! If you have a coffee share I should be by to visit at some point.
Have a great weekend!
Natalie the Explorer is the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
Los Angeles is really cold — in fact, it’s the coldest winter I’ve experienced in a while and we just started March. In fact, on my way home, I saw a nice topping of snow on the hills. I like to tell myself, two more weeks!

Yeah, I have heard that LA and California in general has been hit with some of the coldest, snowiest weather that’s been seen in quite a while. The weather patterns are so weird – other parts of the country are seeing record heat!
Well, around 3 weeks until the equinox and we really will be in spring ;)

Getting the exercise in when it’s bleak outside is hard mentally, hopefully normal service resumes soon.

it is hard – it has been lightly snowing non-stop for a few days, so although it isn’t accumulating any more, the road has a constant icy sheen – no running for me! Thanks.

so wild weather last week on both the right and left coasts.
We even had snow on our hills. I’ve lived here most of my life and have only seen this about a dozen times.

There has been a lot of wild weather, including record highs in some areas while we got snow. Of course, we can never expect Spring to really arrive in NH until April, it was just a shock to see the revenge of winter.
I hope you are having a great weekend.

Its great you get massages as I could imagine it would be hard not to tense up with the cold you get. Hopefully there are more often than nots getting outside to play with all the animals. Have a wonderful week ahead.

I do get very tight, so massage does help. And, despite frigid temperatures, I have been out with the dogs a few times today – our boxer Fiyero actually loves the cold.

Winter has a way of coming back, Trent, just when you start thinking it’s nearly over. Ugh! At least you got squeezed some things you enjoy in.

Around here winter can easily drag out until April, but this was just such a nasty turn around. There are good and bad things about, and at least I am not working right now ;)

The weather where I am got colder this week too. Winter wants to hang on. Hopefully it will let up in March. Have a great weekend. Thanks for the virtual coffee.

I’m hoping winter does let go soon, both here and for you. We don’t need really warm weather, but I am ready for the ice and snow to be gone.
Have a great weekend!
