Physics, Calculus and Chemistry – why are all midterms on the same day?
And Mike had no clean underwear.
At least the laundry would be empty.
There were clothes in all of the apartment complex’s washers.
He’d just have to wait it out.
An hour later he heard, “Oh my God, have you been waiting long? Nobody does wash at 2 AM!”
Mike had wanted to meet her for months.
“No problem, I was studying.”
“Me too. Do you mind if I join you? I’ll keep an eye on the drier.”
Fighting butterflies, Mike returned her smile. “I’d like nothing better.”

I like this story, Trent. No clean underwear? No problem. Midterms or finals, this same day crap needs to stop. :-)

When I was in school finals were usually spread out over a week but midterms all too often were clumped together. And I did know a few students that would have pushed off cleaning underwear and not thought twice about it… Thanks :)

It has been too many years since I was a full time student. I agree that finals changed the world. I don’t recall midterms being like that. :-)

I think he has and that he’ll never say anything bad about late night studying again… Thanks.

I like a man who makes an effort…..as long as he isn’t a stalker! :)

Definitely not a stalker in this case – I’m sure he will make some effort, despite the lack of sleep.

Yes, they may continue studying, but it might not be for the midterms…

Man, I remember nights like this when I was in college. But, dang, never met anyone interesting.

I had too many nights like that, but I was too shy to more than mumble if anyone interesting was around…

Suddenly, doing laundry at 2 a.m. doesn’t seem so bad.

No, I think the chance of lucky encounters goes up as the night gets older.

Nice, connecting to the sound of underpants flying around inside a dryer, love it.

Yep. Though at least at the beginning it is her underthings (he couldn’t start his wash until she moved her clothes from washer to drier, so she is sitting with him so she can free the drier when her things are dry).
