Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, some hot cocoa or another beverage. A lot of snow still on the ground, but it is melting fast! It was about 50F/10C yesterday and will be pretty close to that again today. That is the thing about a March storm – the snow doesn’t last long. Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.
This was a super busy work week with back-to-back meetings all day every day. Next…
We had a little storm that started Monday night and went until the early hours of Wednesday. The official snowfall total for my town was 25″/62.5 cm. The next town up the hill from us had 34″/86.5 cm and there was one town in New Hampshire that had 42″/106.75 cm! That is a lot of snow…
OK, the way the snow quickly packed down, there were few places that I saw two feet of snow. I shoveled off and on on Tuesday and realized that no matter how hard it was snowing, it didn’t seem to get any deeper, that the shovel marks I made quickly caught up to the surrounding areas, though much less dense.
And that was it, the snow grew more and more dense. That, for those who do a lot of shoveling, means heavier and heavier shovelfuls… By the end of Wednesday’s cleanup, the snow was super heavy! Also, since the ground was relatively warm when the snow started, places in the shade or elevated places (table tops, car roofs, etc.) accumulated much closer to the 25″ than ground, though still looking like a lot less.
Anyway, there was a lot of snow, and it was a mess, but it is melting very rapidly.
Besides snow removal, I didn’t exercise enough last week. I did run on Monday before the storm, but not since.
I read a lot, played music, wrote a little, played with cats and dogs, walked dogs, etc. Yeah, a bit of a disruption this week, but for the most part I did the typical. Since I telecommute, well, even work was normal.
And that is it. It will be warm today and I will be out and about.
Thanks for visiting! If you have a coffee share, I will try to stop by. Have a great weekend!
Natalie the Explorer is the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!
I think you’ve been there long enough Trent that you’ve integrated the weather so that it’s almost seamless to normal life.
Sounds nice.

Yes, I am pretty used to NH’s late winters and the snowy March weather, so a little storm doesn’t bother me too much. But I am sick of winter ;)

That was a lot of snow!!! We had some snow coming in the beginning of the week, but nothing like that! Wow! It’s actually been a beautiful week weather-wise, perhaps around 20-25F, today it reached almost 30F. We are expecting Warner day temps this coming week, up to 40F I believe. The nights are still freezing. I wish you a wonderful new week, without snow shovelling.

It was a lot of snow, but it is amazing how fast it is melting. We have had a few days up to 50, though it is below freezing at night.
I did see some of your photos of the snow. it does look pretty.
Hope you have a wonderful week :)

Snow shoveling is a form of workout. I hope you have a more relaxing weekend and a great week ahead. Thank you for your coffee share.

Yes, shoveling wet, heavy snow was a workout, if not quite working the same muscles I use in my little home gym. Thanks, hope your weekend is going well :)

No wonder you didn’t exercise as much the snow shoveling sounds like a workout all on it’s own, so really you did extra exercise, lol. Glad you got to play your music & have fun with your menagerie. Have a happy fun week ahead

I guess shoveling snow can count as exercise…. And, yeah, perhaps harder-core exercise than when I use weights.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I’m definitely ready for spring, and don’t have to deal with the shovelling like you do. It won’t be long now…hang in there!

It is funny, there are flowers trying to push up where the snow has melted! Maybe spring really is almost here…
Hope your weekend is going well!

I am so done with snow and snow storms until November. I say bring on the spring. I think we are all ready to get outside and run, walk and hike.
Thanks for the virtual coffee, Trent. Have a great weekend.

I am ready for spring! Actually, I did a very long walk on back roads with my dog this morning and was surprised at how clear everything was. Looking at the forecast, I’m guessing all of this snow will be gone by this time next week!
Thanks for stopping in! I hope you have a great weekend and a wonderful week ahead!

I’m excited to share that it was nice enough out today that I was able to take Maddi for a walk. Our snow might melt a bit too.

Glad you were able to get out for a walk with Maddi! Perhaps we will both see spring soon.

That sounds like a lot of snow, Trent, and very cold. Back to back meetings sound like lots of no fun. I hate days like that.

Hi Robbie – “and very cold” is SA speaking 😉 It is actually relatively warm, pretty close to normal here for this time of year. But, yes, a huge amount of snow! Because of the warm-for-New-Hampshire-in-March temperatures, it has cleared considerably in the last few days.
This week at work was very busy in a very bad way – yes, I think we all hate those types of days and weeks.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks. Vincent might not like that the painting was turned into a coffee mug, but I think it is great!

I tried to take this down, it’s a bad joke. No offense, I am a complete ***. Meant nothing by it. I just have a horrible sense of humor. Please don’t take me serious, not a veiled threat, reason for the stupid winking face.
