The Weekly Smile for the 27th of March, 2023 #weeklysmile

Hi All! An odd week overall, and not necessarily in a bad way :) I think I will bring up three points.

I spent time on Cape Cod, as I often do. I did not make it out and about as much as I usually do and I didn’t get as much work around the house done as I wished, but it was nice.

With some good weather and a little free time, I was almost back into my exercise routine, with three runs in a week. Nice!

Last Tuesday in New Hampshire I saw my first crocus of the year! I have seen red wing blackbirds and many, many more crocus. The daffodils are almost ready to bloom. And then, last night as I was takign the trash out, I heard peepers!! Yes, peepers, those little frogs that start singing at the start to spring. So, with the buds, three type of flowers, spring birds and peepers, it is spring!

So that is my smile, a return to spring with peepers and all, allowing me to get back into my exercise routine a little more :)

What made you smile?

****

Come on, I’m sure you smiled at least once last week.  Why don’t you share it?  I hope you can join in!

Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas.  If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity.  Don’t smile about the misfortune of others.  Don’t smile in a way to excludes others.  Make sure a 12 year old can read it.

To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile.  Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment :) ).   You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me).  Note – I am no longer compiling the smiles into a weekly post as I used to – Sorry, I do not have time.

I’m hoping. She’s coming for a final fitting in a week. Perhaps I’ll get a couple. She said they always take pics at these events. Hopefully one with her will end up on the website.

What’s really making me smile these days is joining back the gym with a trainer and doing strength training thrice a week. Loving the rigour of it all after practising yoga for over 4 years.

I hope to get more consistent with my runs and cycling in the coming days.

The other reason that has given me tons of heartening smiles is dotty is back from boarding school and we have her with us for sometime atleast. :)

Meanwhile, the “Brain fever” effect a friend’s guest post had is the smile I’m sharing this week.

My problem is that my window for getting my exercise in is pretty small. My dogs feel ill used if I get out of work and go to my little home gym and they make sure I know it is time for their walks ;) But it does feel good to be in the routine.
I did see that guest post – a nice poem and some great photos!
I hope you have a wonderful week :)

I love the sounds of the frogs. We are not in a location to hear them now, but when I lived in southeast KS, that’s when I knew Mother Nature was getting serious about Spring. We gave blooming daffodils here – NC. I love it.

What a great smile post as I’ve been longing for Spring! The blooms and the peepers sound wonderful. I’m happy spring is here and yet we are going to be getting another rain storm this week. Ugh, it’s turning into a weekly thing and we barely dry out from one storm when another shows up. Of course, we have needed the rain but am hoping the weather will move more up north soon. Its wonderful you can get back to your exercise routine! 😍 I pray I can get back to my riding routine as I’ve barely ridden Murphy in the last 3 months. I ride Chloe more often but that’s cuz she’s old and trained so it’s a safer ride. Thank you for all the smiles!! I’ve been reading them and will try and visit more often. Smiling does help make one feel better! 💞😀

There is still snow on the ground, though mostly were piles were. And it did flurry a little in NH on Saturday (I wasn’t around). But it is still spring!
There have been a lot of things throwing off my routine, so it is nice to get back into it again. Hope you can get out on Murphy a little more as things dry out.
      Have a wonderful week :)
