Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, a hot cocoa or other beverage! It is a little cool out there, and despite the sunshine, will not get very warm. Well, if I said that three weeks ago… We are in spring and we have had early spring weather most of the week. This week there will be a few days with early summer temperatures. Oh where are we? You may recognize the photo at the top as coming from New Hampshire.
Quick aside – last week I used the same photo and said the daffodils are not blooming yet, but give them a week… Funny thing, I saw the first bloom the very next day! Today they are just like the photo.
And, yeah, it is very much spring here now!
Busy week. Work was busy with no time for anything else. I had a doctor’s appointment on Wednesday and massage on Thursday – not bad things, but did not make the week less busy! I visited friends on Monday and Thursday evening. I had a Lions Club officers meeting yesterday (and have another this morning). I am ready for the world to stop for a few minutes so I can do some of the stuff that I want to do!! (not that visiting friends, having massage, etc. aren’t things I want to do, but…)
I did run a couple of times early in the week, but not since Tuesday and have not had time to exercise in almost two weeks – I really feel it and have to get back into my routine – see the last sentence of the paragraph above 😉 I did some dog walks, though Idina has often gotten to the front yard and not wanted to go a step farther. She wants to sit, play, sniff, etc., but not walk, so I walked about half as much as usual. She did get out a few times and I was able to sneak away with just Fiyero a couple of times.
I did a super quick recording on Saturday (I’ll post at bottom). I have two other music projects in the works, but haven’t had time to look at them since Saturday. Hopefully soon… I read a little but did not write.
Yeah, I’ll have some crackers with that whine… lol, I know, a lot of you have less time than me! I don’t know how some people do it. More than that, I have no idea how people watch TV. I know people who accomplish a lot, yet know what is going on on all of the popular TV shows. How? I can’t fathom what my day would be like if I stole an hour to just sit. Hmm, I guess I do just sit and read or write or play music or draw (not lately) or… but it’s not the same! lol, at least not to me.
Anyway, I have to meet someone for Lions in a few minutes. After that, I hope to go hiking with a friend. If not, I’ll go for a short hike by myself… And, despite being not super warm, it is very nice and I want to be out in it – even if Idina doesn’t want to walk, I know Fiyero would love a three mile (5 km) walk over some of the local hills. And there is a bit of work to do around here. And, hopefully, I’ll get to play some music (yeah, despite my whine, outside is a higher priority than music right now – I spend 8 1/2 hours a day sitting in front of a computer for work, I need to get up.)
Anyway, with that, I will be off. Thanks for stopping by and listening to me complain! lol, sorry ;) If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit!
Natalie the Explorer is the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

This was a quick, down and dirty demo of a synth that is a Minimoog close, with some tricks up its sleeve, like being bale to play more than one note at a time. I did a little 80s style song with all sound sources from the Poly D. Enjoy!

But … there are things you really want to do … I get it. I have days/weeks like that. Hope you’ve had a good weekend. 👍

There is that side of it – I know people who are busier than I am, but even at my level there are many things I want to do that I just don’t have time for…
The weekend was very busy, but good 🙂 Hope you had a good weekend as well.

Daffodils are blooming here, too. I haven’t watched TV in years. I hope you enjoy a nice hike and have a great week ahead.

Thanks! Didn’t get much of a hike in, but a very long walk in the woods with the dog helped.
I hope you are having a great weekend!

Hi Trent – how fun the daffodils are up (and showed the day after that other post) and I also wonder how folk get stuff done with so much TV or show watching – I have so many series I want to check out and might not ever get to see – but I am okay with that
—
and one way that I used to watch some TV – was when grading papers on the laptop- however, the type of show or movie that was on had to have good dialogue and not require too much visual attention – because I could listen in as I moved through assignments.
So for me, reruns of shows like Monk, or the 1970 movie version of Pride and Prejudice, were ideal – I could listen in as I had some time between the posting of a grade and moving to other assignments – and then if a paper or activity required me to think and ponder – I didn’t worry about missing anything from the show
not sure if that makes sense –
but I never could watch a “new show” that multitasking way because I would miss too much

My wife does watch TV, usually binge-watching series. She sits with her work surrounding her. She half pays attention to the TV while she does the paperwork – I am assuming pretty close to what you are talking when you were grading papers. I can’t do that. I have to do one thing or another and there is something about TV that draws my attention, even if I hate the show.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I think your wife and I have that in common!
and I can see why you want your full focus – because things like your music and fiction need it

I’m sure you do have a lot in common with my wife, including that way of multitasking. For me, no. Even reading, I need 100% concentration – I like to be in the “zone”.

Hi Trent, how nice to be in spring. We are expecting our first cold snap tomorrow. I don’t watch TV either. You have to chose what you spend your spare time on as it is limited.

Yeah, you are heading towards winter (or what you call “Winter” in SA…). Everyone does something different with their spare time, but, yeah, glad I found another one that likes something else besides TV.
Have a great weekend.

I am happy to share a weather update from my part of the world. I can see patches of grass in my backyard and it rained a bit yesterday instead of snow. No flowers blooming like where you are, but soon I think.
Have a great weekend, Trent.
