If We Were Having Coffee on the 22nd of April, 2023 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, some hot cocoa or other beverage. After a really nice day yesterday it is a little cloudy and coolish, but pretty typical for this time of year in this part of the world. I think it is supposed to rain all day tomorrow, but you know what they say about April showers… Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo as being from New Hampshire.

Work was super busy. Not the worst ever, but… I am glad the work week is over.

Because work was so stressful, I almost forget everything else that happened this week! OK, I did go in for routine blood work on Wednesday and had massage on Wednesday afternoon. I remember those things. The rest of the week?

I ran Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. I can feel that I am getting back into it, which is great. I did a shortened version of my strength routine on Friday. It was very short, and that was the only time I was able to do anything. I can feel the slow down in that as much as the pick up of running, if not more! Yuck, I have to get back into it.

I walked, walked dogs, read, played music (keyboards) a little and, hmmm, did I do anything else?

I do have a lot planned for the weekend. For instance, I have a huge amount of spring yard cleanup to do. I have to go to the bank for Lions Club. Things like that. I hope to get a little time to play music and exercise. I have some writing I am supposed to be doing but haven’t found time. Yeah, I have six days of activity planned for the weekend…

Anyway, thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share, I will try to visit – I hit most of them most weeks, but I don’t always leave messages, particularly in the non-Word Press ones – I haven’t discovered a way to comment.

Natalie the Explorer is the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

Where I grew up we had large white trilliums, so finding that we had small red ones behind my house was very cool (there is a wooded hillside in my backyard). Thanks!

LOL at 6 days of activity planned for the weekend. I do that to myself regularly, then end up giving up and getting nothing done. I tried to stay more focused this weekend and actually accomplished something.

Glad to hear you’re able to make time for exercise. Still working on that here. I have a big work thing that’s sucking up most of my time.

I did get a huge amount done, but perhaps not the total 6 days worth (I keep thinking of the Beatles’ song, Eight Days a Week….). I often go into the weekend with a lot of plans but accomplish little so it was good that I did get a lot done.
A huge milestone for one project I am on is coming up, but things happen and I am now being tasked for a couple of other major projects… Yuck. In ways it is nice to be the subject matter expert, but when because of that I am being constantly pinged by executives, perhaps being an unknown peon is better…

Hi Maria. It was actually my yard, not garden. Since I live at the bottom of a wooded hill, I get a huge amount of leaves over the winter. I was able to rake, pick up sticks, etc. for about four hours, sop that really helped, but there is still a lot to do (it’s a big, spread out yard). We have a few nice sized flower beds, but our vegetable garden is tiny…

The back is long and narrow with two different levels – when the dogs were younger they played and played back there, but they now always want to go to an open field to play.

It is nice to get back into the routine. The snow didn’t help, but there was just so much going on that was keeping me from running.
The time distortion field has been intermittent. I’ve gotten a lot down, but still have a huge to-do list facing me today…

Hi Trent, I’m so happy you can get back to most of your exercise routine. Its finally warming up here which I’m so happy about. I giggled at the 6 days of activity planned for the weekend 🤣 I feel like I always have too much to do, haha, and sometimes feel overwhelmed so I don’t get much done! I’m glad I’m not the only one who can’t leave comments on some blog posts, I wasn’t sure why. I’m not very techy so not much I can do about it! Have a wonderful weekend and week ahead. 🤩🥰

We do often try to jam in a lot on our weekends, don’t we? Well, my to do list is a little shorter, but I don’t think I’ll get all six days in there…
Hope your weekend is going well :)

My week was the kind that left me eager for the weekend too. I’m hoping the weather will be decent so I can get outside and do some sanding on the cabinet I’m restoring and the boys want me to play some baseball. Other then that, I think I need to read and relax. Have a great weekend, Trent.
