Last week I posted a parody of the Beatles’ song, Yesterday. Well, I decided to make it into a video:

The Covid Virus seemed so far away

This was written for Chelsea Owen’s Terrible Poetry Contest. I typically just post in the comments on here site, but I though some of you may want a laugh :) If you didn’t guess, the idea was to a parody of a classic song and make it about Covid-19. I may try to play-sing this later ;)

Picture yourself on a boat on a river. When out of the psychedelic landscape, she calls you quite softly, you answer quite slowly, misunderstanding all you see as you are taken to Strawberry fields to pour paint on the piano. She said, she said that tomorrow never knows. Goo goo g’joob.

Hello and Welcome! Come on in out of the cold drizzle. At least it isn’t snowing, though I guess it is on “the mainland”. I’ll get you a nice mug of very strong Sumatra Roast or a cuppa tea or other warm beverage to take the chill off. And where are we? Those who have joined my Coffee Shares in the past may recognize that stack of Beatles mugs as living on Cape Cod.
Thinking of Beatles, I’ve been listening to the Beatles over the last two days. You see, yesterday was December 8. Google it. Yes, one of the saddest days in musical history, when the man who wanted us to give peace a chance had his life ended in violence. Right now “All You Need is Love” is playing very loudly as I type.
