If We Were Having Coffee on the 3rd of December, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a little damp out there and will rain most of the day, but relatively warm (it will be around 55 f/13 C most of the day). It was an odd week weatherwise. We had a few days that felt super cold even though it wasn’t as cold as a few weeks ago (wind, moisture in the air, etc.). And then there were a couple of nicer days – yesterday was cool but felt warm because of the sun and no wind. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as coming from New Hampshire.

I was back to a normal work week. It wasn’t terrible, but it was busy.

I played around with music a little more this week than I have for a couple of months, which is good – I need to get back into it! I did a little blog writing, but nothing outside of it, which may be why I needed to play more music.

Despite rain and cold, I did a lot of walking this week, mostly with dogs. I had massage. I did a little exercise, though had trouble completing my routine (both dogs and cats didn’t let me!), I ran a couple of times, and pretty much had a normal late November/early December week.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 26th of November, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is gorgeous out there – blue sky, no wind, though a little cool. After the bitter cold we’ve had, being “a little cool” is actually great! It is pretty close to what it should be for this time of year, not 20 degrees too warm, or 20 degrees too cold like it has been. Where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

I drove down to The Cape on Tuesday evening. As the holiday was approaching, the traffic was a little worse for a Tuesday than usual, but not bad. I took The rest of the week off of work so I did not have to bring my work laptop.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 19th of November, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, a mug of hot cocoa or some other beverage. It is pretty chilly out there, below freezing, and it won’t get too warm at all today. What a difference a week makes! I kayaked last Friday and Saturday, even going into the water up to my waist on Saturday, and then… We had snow over night into Wednesday, but the the rain washed it away by noon. And where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

This was an odd week over all. As I said, it was cold. We had a bit of rain and snow. But I did get out and take pretty nice walks every day except Wednesday. That was the day that it rained all morning, work didn’t let me even leave my desk in the early afternoon and then I had massage in the evening. I was also able to run a couple of times and will get out today. My exercise routine was a little off, but I did a bit of that as well. It was a week of something happening every day after work again, so… I am ready to go back to the pandemic so I can exercise again! lol, OK, maybe not.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 12th of November, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is pouring rain outside now. The rain had lessened, so I took a walk but it came back and I’m soaked. It is warm (for November) at 68 F/ 20 C, so it was a nice walk despite getting wet. The storm is far to our west, but I am sure this rain is influenced by it. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

It has been unseasonably warm lately and I spent a lot of last weekend outside in a short sleeve shirt. It was very nice. I drove to the Cape on Tuesday evening and had yesterday off (Veterans Day in the US, Remembrance Day in most of the English speaking world). I was not able to do much after work on Wednesday or Thursday, so I spent all day yesterday outside, much to the chagrin of the cats (the cats come with me here). I did a kayak paddle in the morning, took a very long walk on the beach and a longer walk in the woods. I was out a lot besides those walks and paddles. It was a great day.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 5th of November, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is actually pretty nice out, so we’ll move it outside. This week has been unusually warm and today will get up to 75F/24C. To someone in Arizona that might not seem warm, but for November in New Hampshire,it is almost hot. After about three weeks of above average temps, next week it will drop to closer to normal, but still be sunny and nice. Oh, where are we? If you missed it a few sentences back, the photo at the top might have told you that we are in New Hampshire.

So it was a nice week if busy. I worked and work was busy, though not insane. ‘Nough said.

Last weekend was gorgeous and I spent most of the weekend outside. Very nice.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 29th of October, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is still a little cool out. With the clear skies, I think last night was the coldest it has been this autumn, down to the upper 20s (about -2 C), so, yeah, I think our second or third frost of the year. But it will get pretty warm later today, and I have on a short sleeve shirt. Odd, but looking at the next week, it will be an unusually warm (for November) next week. I regret putting away most of my short sleeve shirts a couple of weeks ago – I have worn all of the ones I left out this week, and next week will be warmer! I’ll have to pull some out. Just weird – I am usually in a turtleneck by the 20th. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

A work week – ‘nough said about that.

As I said last week, our Lion’s Club had the big Penny Sale last week, sharing duties with the local PTO. It was a long day, but went well. I was able to get out an walk and run (I walked the mile or so each direction for the set up). Our Lions also held a “Candidates Night” for local candidates on Monday, but I was unable to attend (for me, buying coffee was more important – I was completely out ;) ). Our district governor came to our Tuesday Lions Club meeting. Yep, lots of Lions stuff…

If We Were Having Coffee on the 22nd of October, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is pretty cool out. There wasn’t a frost last night, but we did have one earlier in the week. It is sunny and will get relatively warm today, though I may be inside. More about that later. Anyway, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as coming from New Hampshire.

This was a work week. Enough said. Yuck.

I had to bring my car in for a state inspection, oil change and other such stuff. Unfortunately I need breaks and they wouldn’t pass the car without them. So I have to bring it back. On the same day I have to return to the dentist :( Oh well.

I had massage this week. That was a high point, but it also meant I wasn’t able to exercise that day. So Monday I visited a friend after work, Tuesday I didn’t feel well at all, Wednesday I had massage, Thursday I brought the car in to have work done, after work on Friday was many phone calls to work out when I will have the breaks done. So no exercise at all :( I mean, some of those things were very nice (visiting friend, massage) and I’m glad I did them, but… Today our Lions Club is doing a Penny Sale, which means I will be working from noon until about 11 PM. And tomorrow is booked up. After a terrible work week I want to go for an all day hike!

Oh well, I guess that is being an adult…

OK, enough complaining, I still have four hours before I have to start working. I will be outside for the vast majority of those four hours! And tomorrow will be a lot of fun, so no complaints there either! And, as I said, there were high points in the week! Besides those I mentioned, i did get a some writing done.

And being an adult does have its plus sides, so…

Anyway, As I just hinted, I need to be going. I will try to stop by for visits off and on over the next few day, but I can promise nothing.

Hope you are having a good weekend! Talk later.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 15th of October, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is a very nice day out there and will be warm later today – short sleeve shirt weather. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

This was an odd week all around, though I don’t remember half of it ;)

I almost forgot… I spent all day Sunday on Cape Cod, something I usually don’t do – I usually leave early in the morning. So after our last coffee share I did a few long walks on the beach, including going to my favorite beach, Chapin, for one of the few walks there this year. I was also able to get out on the kayak again. So it was nice.

Work was busy, but not insane. I had Monday off. I had a dentist appointment on Tuesday, the first, painful part of having a crown replaced. Tuesday night was Lions Club.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 8th of October, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and pour yourself a mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea, a hot cocoa or some other beverage. Sorry that I am a little useless here: my cat Alexander is holding me hostage by sitting on my lap. I think he has spent more time there in the last two days than in the last two months… Oh, yeah, I forgot, put your wet stuff over there. I think the rain will stop before noon. And where are we with cats and rain? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

Another busy work week. Enough said.

Over this last week I got a hair cut, had massage and had a doctor’s appointment. The Dr. appointment was short and sweet – I’m goign to live ;) (More seriously, the main reason for the appoint was blood pressure, and it was measured by the nurse at 120 over 76, so not much of a problem there, so no need to start my meds again.) I drove down here on Wednesday night with the two cats.

The dogs are in Maine, so no dog walking, but plenty of walks on my own. I ran a few times, including actually on the beach. I always talk about running on the beach access road. On Thursday I tried to go onto the beach itself. Nope. The hardest sand was on a slope and was not hard enough to support running. Oh well, a nice experiment. I have also kept up my exercise routine.

I had most of the afternoon off yesterday, and yesterday was by far the nicest day of the week, so I spent it outside. On my morning walk the water was smooth as glass, so I went kayaking after work. It was no longer smooth in the afternoon. In fact, it was one of the roughest paddles I have had in a few years. After my paddle, I showered (I was soaked from all of the water splashing on me) and then took a long walk in the woods. Nice.

Besides all of that, it was pretty much life as normal – reading, living, etc.

That’s about it. I have a ton of stuff to do around the house and hopefully I will be able to get out this afternoon.

That is, if I ever get Alexander off of my lap….

Thanks for stopping in! I will try to make the rounds of the coffee share, so may be by for a visit.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 1st of October, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast,a cuppa tea or a hot cocoa. It is a little chilly out there and it looks and feels like rain. It is beginning to look like October out there, with many of leaves finally turning golden. It should look like Autumn soon! Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

The big thing this week is work. Not much to say, but it ate up all of my time and energy. I have had much worse weeks, but this was super busy.

I did almost no blogging. I posted my typical Smile on Monday, and nothing else. I did not read any blogs because I had no time.
