If We Were Having Coffee on the 25th of June, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on over and I will get you a nice large, super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is pretty warm, so maybe a cool beverage… It is gorgeous out there, sunny, and warm. There is a slight breeze, but not as windy as it has been. Inland it will be a scorching day, but nice here. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as begin from Cape Cod (yes, for the second week in a row).

As you may have guessed, I spent the week down here. I only had three days off (I worked Thursday and Friday), but last weekend being super long was great! The dogs (and my wife ;) ) joined me and the cats Tuesday evening.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 11th of June, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome. Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. It is still slightly cool out, but it looks like another beautiful day. We did have rain two days this week, and it really poured hard on Thursday, but it cleared on both of those afternoons. Over all, this week was as close to “seasonable” as we have had this year, seeming just like an early June week in New England. In fact, this is as close to “perfect weather” as we get outside of early October. And what part of New England are we in today? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

Work was tough. OK, that’s enough.

I was able to get out for plenty of dog walks this week, though not as many during working hours as usual – see last paragraph. I exercised a few times, ran at least three times since I last “saw” you, and did a few quicker walks without the dogs. I read a little, did some neighborhood socialization, and those types of things. A bit of work around the house rounded off my week. As I told many of you, I spent as much time outside last weekend as was possible, even if it was doing work, or reading.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 4th of June, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I will get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or other beverage. It is a little cool and damp outside, but not bad. It will warm up today, bordering on hot, but the humidity will cut in the early afternoon. In other words, it will be a typical early June day. Oh, and a June day where? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

I had a very long weekend last weekend. I had a few hours off on Friday, Monday was a holiday and I took Tuesday off. I spent a big part of it down on Cape Cod. Saturday was wet, but I still was able to do a long walk in the woods. I also had a great kayak paddle on Sunday. I visited the beach and actually went swimming, though the water was warmer than the air at the time. Still, first time in the water this year. I did walks, both with and without dogs, and ran on Monday. I did some photography, but I am not sure how many good photos I got. Over all, it was nice.

I drove back Monday night (don’t ask about the drive, or rather “sit in traffic”). Tuesday I just relaxed, did a few small chores, walked, exercised and typical stuff. In other words, I tried to relax.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 28th of May, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some other beverage. I think the rain is finished for the day, but it is still super wet out there and it is humid. Despite the wet, I will have to get out and about today. I know I will walk and puppy play outside as these are things I do even when there is a hurricane blowing through or the worst blizzard in a century. But it isn’t that bad today and I hope to do even more. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

So this was a super busy work week. OK, far too much about work!!!

I think I told you last weekend that it goign to be hot. Yep, though not quite as bad as originally forecast. I mean, we only hit 95F/35 C, so not too bad 😏 There was also a breeze, so I spent most of the day on both Saturday and Sunday out doing things. I think it will hit 90 F/ 32 C in New Hampshire on Monday, so it will be three weeks in a row, in May, in New Hampshire, that there was 90 degree weather! Wow, and people complained about the cool spring!

Hello and Welcome! Lets sit here at this table looking back into the woods. It is nice and shady here with a pleasant breeze. Ah. It is warm, isn’t it? OK, it is only about 80 F/27 C, but it is very humid. It will get around 90F/32C later in the day, as it did yesterday, and will most likely feel a bit steamy. I hope the breeze keeps up! Where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

It was a pretty warm week and it is ending hot (for spring in New Hampshire). I did a bit outside, including running a few times, including earlier this morning. I did my normal weight exercises and such. I walked the dogs a lot and did a few walks without them (they aren’t big on walking when it gets warm). I played with cats and such,as always.

I picked up a new lens for my camera and spent a little time playing with it. I hope to get out a lot over the weekend and do a lot more! Of course, the real test will be when I kayak with it on Cape Cod, but that will have to wait. Here is a Moon shot.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 7th of May, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a nice large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or a hot cocoa. It is a little cool out there today, but not bad. We’ve had a cooler than usual spring, but the last week wasn’t too bad – we had a few warmer days mixed in with the cool. The weekend will be cool again, but next week we will get down right hot, with a couple of days over 87 F (31 C). Were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

I drove back from Cape Cod on Saturday evening. I did have a good, if low key, day down there after my coffee post, but needed to head north.

There wasn’t much happening during the week. I did run twice, and each time it was warm enough for just shorts and t-shirt (I think in the 70s/20s C both days). I did my other exercise routine three times and had massage. I walked every day, both with the dogs and without. I spent more time than usual chatting with neighbors (good weather?). I played with cats and kittens (Tiberius is doing great after his surgery).

Work was tough and I returned to over 400 emails on Monday. OK, enough about work, it is the weekend…

I practiced music, but really didn’t do a whole lot. I wrote a little but have been avoiding “real work” in my writing. I read some.

I’ll admit that I went down a couple of Internet wormholes (or are they rabbit holes? I guess it depends on if the journey is sci-fi or whimsical fantasy). Anyway, as an example, I would remember an old movie. I do a search and find the name, say Sunset Blvd. Then I would get sucked into reading about it and watching clips on YouTube. I would finally emerge and wonder why the clock said 9:30 PM when I knew it was 7! The dangers of sitting too close to the computer!

As usual I have a busy weekend planned and need to get to it.

Thanks for stopping by! If you have a coffee share I will try to visit, but, as usual, no promises (I typically hit at least 90% of people who link, though can’t leave a “like” if it is non-WP and I don’t comment as much as I should).

Natalie the Explorer is now the host of the weekend coffee share and she is doing a wonderful job. Stop in at this week’s main share page or go to the InLinkz-Linkup to see all of the other shares!

If We Were Having Coffee on the 30th of April, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a little chilly out there and the wind is nasty, but, out of the wind, the sun feels great. Let’s sit and chat. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.

I spent most of the week here on the Cape. My sister and her husband were visiting from Ohio. Not actually with me, but at a time share about 4 miles away. I met them for dinner on Tuesday, we did stuff together on Wednesday and Thursday and then they drove home on Friday. Yes, I did take Wednesday through Friday off of work.

I did a few very long walks, most by myself (including this morning), but some with my sister. On the walks I saw osprey, snowy egrets, great egrets, great blue herons, many types of ducks, several types of geese, several types of cormorants, swan, loons, osprey, hawks, falcon and a bald eagle. There were tons of people around looking at some glossy ibis, which I also saw – my photos aren’t very good, so I won’t share. There were other things, like a very pregnant racoon just off of one trail.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 23rd of April, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a very strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or a hot cocoa. It is a little cool out, but it will be warmish today. Warmish, but you still might want a jacket. This week was very much a spring week, but not very warm over all. Yesterday was the warmest. Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from New Hampshire.

Of course a work week. OK, next topic ;)

The dogs were with their human mother visiting Maine, so it was just the cats and bird and me. The cats were a lot of fun and slept on top of me all night every night. When the dogs are away, the cats will play might not be the way the saying goes, but it is true here.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 16th of April, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a little cloudy out, but warmish. It does feel like spring! In fact, this entire week was very much spring with a few days of short-sleeve/no-jacket weather! Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo, though I’ve only used it a couple of times, as coming from New Hampshire. And, yes, the daffodils have been out all week :)

Since the weather was so nice, I did a lot outside. Down on Cape Cod last weekend I did my first kayak paddle of the year. I did a couple of very long walks in the woods in New Hampshire (I don’t call it a “hike” unless it is at least two or three hours…). I ran in just shorts and t-shirt a couple of times. Of course there is walking dogs and such included in there.

Work…, well, OK, I worked this week.

If We Were Having Coffee on the 9th of April, 2022 #weekendcoffeeshare

Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a beautiful day out there, maybe a bit on the cool side, but sunny and not cold. And, actually, not windy, which is a huge plus. Oh, were are we? Some of you may recognize the photo as being from Cape Cod.

I drove down here on Wednesday evening. Thursday was a little wet and cool and I really didn’t do a huge amount, though the dogs had quite a few walks and play time. Friday started wetter, but turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. I did get a long walk at the beach in, as well as dog walks. I went for breakfast this morning and just got back.

Earlier in the week I was in New Hampshire and the dogs on the Cape, but I did a lot of very long walks without them. I also did a couple of runs and have kept up my exercise routine. There was a massage on Wednesday.
