
Hello and Welcome! Come on in and I’ll get you a large mug of super strong dark roast, a cuppa tea or some hot cocoa. It is a little chilly out there and the wind is nasty, but, out of the wind, the sun feels great. Let’s sit and chat. Oh, where are we? Some of you may recognize the photo at the top as being from Cape Cod.
I spent most of the week here on the Cape. My sister and her husband were visiting from Ohio. Not actually with me, but at a time share about 4 miles away. I met them for dinner on Tuesday, we did stuff together on Wednesday and Thursday and then they drove home on Friday. Yes, I did take Wednesday through Friday off of work.
I did a few very long walks, most by myself (including this morning), but some with my sister. On the walks I saw osprey, snowy egrets, great egrets, great blue herons, many types of ducks, several types of geese, several types of cormorants, swan, loons, osprey, hawks, falcon and a bald eagle. There were tons of people around looking at some glossy ibis, which I also saw – my photos aren’t very good, so I won’t share. There were other things, like a very pregnant racoon just off of one trail.
