I already like the sonata, but I love your St. George and the Dragon III. You got that great medieval open sixths haunting tone. Indeed it reminded me of all thoses castles I’m tramped through on the British Isles and in Israel.

Thanks, Marilyn. Yes, it was that medieval sound I was going for, but I wanted it to sound like it was filtered through a mid-19th century romantic novel. I may have to post the first two movements of this some day. It was originally an electronic piece commissioned by an art studio, and I reworked this version right at the begging of my harmony studies, but before i was too deep into them.

    Hi Trent,

I enjoyed seeing and listening to your “Little Improvisation, AKA “Space Jam”. Perhaps it would have been easier for you to improvise, had the two synthesizers been closer together by stacking one above the other.

Also, I would have loved to be able to see what you were actually doing with your fingers on those synthesizers.

Thank you for sharing your music here.

I keep rearranging my studio – I’m in the middle of doing it this week… Yeah, the keyboards were a bit far apart. The song you commented on, Lost Star, was based on this improvisation.

There is a bit of a joke around Thirteen! – one part is that even though it isn’t serial in the least, it is based on a 12-tone row that has an octave jump in the middle so I mislabeled it 13 different tones ;) The basic unit was 13 beats. etc. I never finished and moved on to other things. Pretty much all of the “classical” music was written during my studies.
